Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: He provides you gifts which you are to stir into flame. Spiritual gifts are endowments for service given through the activity of the Holy Spirit.
God provides whatever divine enablements we need for the service to which He appoints us. (Google image, Gifts of the Holy Spirit)

#4 He Sets You Aflame
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: He sets you aflame with His fiery baptism. "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire," said John the baptist of Jesus (Matt. 3:11; Luke 3:16).
This refers to "the fiery character of the Spirit's operations upon the soul—searching, consuming, refining, sublimating—as nearly all good interpreters understand the words." (Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown, Commentary, 888). (Google image, An on Fire Heart for Christ)

#3 The Holy Spirit will Set You Ablaze
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: The Holy Spirit loves so tenderly, cares so personally, and ministers to us so faithfully. How amazing that perhaps the most common symbol of this beautiful Person found in the Bible is flaming fire!
Why does Scripture choose fire to illustrate His presence and role? What blessedness does this suggest for us when we are Spirit-filled? (Google image, praying crowd)

Camping Psalms
What amazing variety and beauty we see, even in the fungi that spring up overnight and dot the woods with splashes of bright orange, red, and yellow!

#2 You Can be Ablaze!
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: Ablaze for God! Your personality so suffused with the presence and beauty of the Lord that others instinctively sense that God is with you!
God's hand so clearly evident upon your life and leadership that a quiet holy power and authority seem to rest upon you! (Google image, Praising God).

#1 Foreword for ABLAZE For GOD
Robert E. Coleman: Ablaze for God is a book that speaks to the desperate need for spiritual leadership in the church.
One does not have to be a theologian to recognize that persons prepared to minister in Christ's stead are in short supply today. (Google image, ABLAZE For GOD)

The Beauty of Brokenness
James Banks- Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese art of mending broken pottery.
Gold dust mixed with resin is used to reattach broken pieces or fill in cracks, resulting in a striking bond. Instead of trying to hide the repair, the art makes something beautiful out of brokenness. (Google image. Broken dish with gold in cracks.

#150 Will You Join Me in this Prayer?
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: Wonderful Lord Jesus—my crucified, resurrected, ascended, and enthroned Savior—I worship and adore You. My interceding King, with what everlasting love You give your holy self to me and to this needy world!
Thank You, Jesus, that Your throne is a throne of grace. Thank You that at the right hand of the Father, You are interceding now. (Google image, Jesus crucified).

#149 Go Alone With God
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: Ask God. Wait on God. He will refill you again and again. You must stay filled with the Spirit to pray in the Spirit.
You must wait on God if you would be refilled. You must feast on His words, chapter after chapter, if you would be refilled. (Google image, A prayerful church).

Sanctification
Jean Oathout: Have you ever wondered just what "sanctification" means? Let's explore it today, to learn what it means from God's point of view.
When someone hears the Word concerning Christ's sacrifice for their sins on the Cross, some 2,000 years ago, and they believe it's for them [1], their acceptance of His provision for them seals their future with Him in glory.
They become pure and free from all guilt or evil; sanctification is acceptance by God, given through belief in the shed blood of Christ Jesus. We are then challenged to walk out a sanctified life, bringing honor to Jesus. (Photo by Lisa Buffaloe)

#148 First, Get the Vision
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: Ask the Spirit to let you see the world's people and their need with the loving eyes of God.
Then you will understand why Nehemiah wept, why Isaiah, Jeremiah, Paul, and a host of others wept.
Then you will understand why Jesus wept. Ask the Spirit to let your heart feel earth's pain as the heart of God feels it. Then you will weep. Your heart will weep, and if you prevail long enough, your eyes may also fill with tears. (Google image, Prayer )

#147 Will You Become Mighty in Prayer?
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: You began reading [posts from] this book with the hunger and hope that you might know more of mighty prevailing prayer in your own experience.
You have thrilled to read about the lives of those whom God has used mightily in prayer. (Google image, Man praying in field).
