Daily Prayer for our Nation

The Power Is Now Prayer for Our Nation

Our daily prayer for our nation:

We ask You, Lord, to pour out a spirit of repentance on our nation, that we might become a nation committed to following Your ways. We pray that the US will repent of its corporate rejection of the Word of God as the basis of Law. We pray that a holy fear of You will sweep across our nation, leading us back to a place of wisdom.

We ask for truth to become valued again in American society. May our judicial system and lawmakers seek justice for all and be tempered by mercy and compassion to guide our nation. We pray for the judges of this nation, that they would seek the wisdom that comes from above. We ask that You thwart the efforts of those who would remove religious freedom from our nation.

Thank You for the election of our President, and pray for his safety from all of the attacks of his enemies. May he continue to look to You for guidance. May others in the leadership of our nation not be moved by envy and selfish ambition. May they be surrounded with men and women of integrity to advise them.

We pray for our President and his cabinet to continue to take brave stands for righteousness, even when it may not be well received. We pray for physical protection for all of them and their families throughout this coming year.

We ask that You would help strengthen the trumpet call to intensive prayer, so that it is heard throughout the church in the United States. May the church rise up with a strong prophetic voice for America. We pray for the church in America, that it will live in such a way that the peace of Christ comes into the councils of our nation.

May courage born of wisdom be given to Christians in places of leadership in our government, the courts and law schools across the nation so that they will stand for a godly basis for law. We pray for truth and fairness to be established standards in our news media.

We pray for great awareness and discernment for the Lord’s praying people as they pray for our President and his cabinet, our military and the world leaders. May there be a strong hedge of protection around our nation itself during this time of decisions and troubles.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

. . . as we forgive

Jean Oathout- What does it take for us to see revival in our lives, churches and our countries?

Recently, the Lord impressed me that I held something against someone for many years, and that it was the reason I could feel no love for her now. (Google image, Forgiveness)

A New Unction of the Holy Spirit

Lois J. Stucky- E. E. Shelhamer was deeply spiritual brother used greatly by God in a preaching and writing ministry. Some of you have read his articles in Herald of His Coming.

He once shared that he was powerfully converted as a teenager. So compelling was the Holy Spirit's call on his life that the lad sometimes jumped up on a box and preached to the logs and the corn stalks. (Google image, When men arise

#86 The Spirit's Anointing Enables You Mentally

Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: 2. The Spirit's anointing enables you mentally. The Holy Spirit can add alertness, aptness of expression, creativity, and the ability to say with unusual clarity what God wants said.

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would bring to your remembrance the things He had told them (John 14:26). this special enablement of memory was not reserved for the apostles and the writers of Scripture. (Google image, Preaching: Behind the scenes)

#85 Prayer, Trust, and Waiting on the Lord Remove Weariness

Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: Prayer, trust, and waiting on the Lord remove weariness, and renew physical and spiritual power no matter how weak you are in yourself.

Many a minister of the gospel has experienced freshness of body and a special sense of God's blessing and presence on the service and particularly upon the ministry of the hour. (Google image, Man praying in pew

Where Is God?

FILEJean Oathout: First, we need to understand  that God Almighty is Spirit. He inhabits all Creation, and out into all the infinite space around us.

His abode is not in a contained place, as we suppose, when we look up in space, and address Him as being "out there." The truth is: He is closer than our hands and breath! (Google Image, Where is God?)
