THE HEAVENLY PATTERN: Prayer Note # 18

“Jesus is the Victor—we’re the enforcers; Jesus is the Redeemer—we’re the releasers; Jesus is the Head—we’re the Body. {Dutch learned this after obeying God’s directions in Guatemala, preaching to a small group of people there. He had been instructed by God to pray for a “crazy” little girl, who was tied up outside of the village. When he did pray, from across the village at the meeting, God healed her!} A new plan unfolded to me A new concept emerged –Jesus and me.

For the first time I understood the heavenly pattern…Yes, Jesus prevailed through a sent one. So the partnership goes on—God and humans. But the correct pattern is critical: My prayers of intercession release Christ’s finished work of intercession.

His work empowers my prayers—my prayers release His work. Mine extends His—His effectuates mine. Mine activates His—His validates mine. In Kingdom Enterprises we’re not in the production department. We’re in distribution…BIG difference. He’s the generator. We’re the distributors.”

Prayer Note # 18 THE HEAVENLY PATTERN - from Dutch Sheets’ book, Intercessory Prayer ( pgs 44, 45)

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”  (Rom. 8:26 NKJV)
