Our goal is to reach at-risk youth before they get dangerously hooked. For those who enter the Teen challenge program, we represent a last chance at life and offer hope to those who have long since abandoned it.
Teen Challenge began in 1958, when Rev. David Wilkerson responded to the desperate needs of young gang members in New York City. Six years later Teen Challenge was established as part of this growing national Christian program.
Today, Teen Challenge is the largest and most successful non-profit residential recovery program of its kind in the world, with over 200 centers in the USA and an additional 1000+ programs worldwide.

"The devil inside the bottle convinced me that I had everything under control but I didn’t. My addiction had been going on so long that it became a part of me. On the outside I looked fine, functional and I performed well at work but on the inside I was a mess. God blessed me with a beautiful family, a wife and four amazing children and an amazing photography job but none of it could stop my drinking. I would think about with all
this who would want to drink, but the reality is people, things, situations or positions can never fill the hole in one’s heart . . . that only God can fill.
Because of the support of my family and friends I entered Teen Challenge and through Jesus Christ I have become a changed man. Teen Challenge has given me the time to come to know God and allow Him to change me from the inside out. I have been able to pull in the reins of the reckless life I was living and focus on the life God has called me to. God has cleaned the lens of my heart and given me a whole new perspective on this beautiful thing called life.

My name is Aaron I’m from a small town in upstate NY where there are more cows than people. I started smoking marijuana when I was 14 years old, after my grandma passed away. it was the only way I knew how to numb the pain. By the time I was 18 I was an opiate addict . . .
My wife had told me about Teen Challenge, and as soon as she did, I thought "I'm not a teenager, I’m almost 30!" Luckily, Teen Challenge is a 15 month drug and alcohol rehab for adults who struggle with substance abuse issues . . . "
