Dr. Wesley L. Duewel- Touch the World through Prayer by Dr. Wesley L. Duewel is so convincing in its many biblical references, its logic, its illustrations, and its examples that, by the time you finish reading this marvelous, inspiring book, you will no doubt agree that you can touch—the world through prayer.
Dr. Duewel, a missionary to India for twenty-five years, former president of the Oriental Missionary Society (now One Mission Society) and former president of the Evangelical Foreign Missions Association, (now Mission Nexus) is a man of prayer. (Google image, TOUCH the WORLD through PRAYER)
Out of his own long, rich, and fruitful walk with Christ, he draws many spiritual lessons and shares dramatic experiences of answers to prayer.
Dr. Duewel's life-long burden for prayer has been powerfully expressed through his many writings on prayer, the Holy Spirit, soul-winning, and spiritual awakening. He even edited for many years Revival Magazine, which was dedicated to calling the Body of Christ to prayer, repentance, and revival. We share that burden with Dr. Duewel.
For fifty years, prayer has played a major role in our personal lives and ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ, (now CRU). Our first act when God called us to start this world-wide ministry was to organize a twenty-four-hour chain of prayer, which continues world-wide to this day.
We are convinced with Dr. Duewel that the greatest power available to the children of God is prayer: "You have not because you ask not."
This motivational book is filled with many practical suggestions and numerous faith-building experiences. It contains a number of simple suggestions to the new believer and more profound instructions for mature believers.
Its principles of prayer and rationale for revival, when applied, could help to brig a spiritual awakening to our country and, indeed, to the entire world.
It could well be that you are about to enter the greatest, most satisfying adventure of our life—a ministry of intercessory prayer. Yes, you can Touch the World through Prayer.

Let's pray-
Father, I ask You to forgive me for using sarcasm as a defense and speaking harsh, unkind words to others. I choose to submit to the Word of God that sifts, analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of my heart.
Scripture References: 1 John 1:9; Hebrews 4:12 (AMP); 2 Corinthians 10:5-6; Isaiah 53:5 (AMP); Ephesians 4:32 Colossians 4:6
Today's Bible verses-
Reveal incorrect thought patterns that are contrary to Your will Father. By Your grace I will bring them into subjection to Jesus, who was bruised for my guilt and iniquities.
The chastisement of our peace and well-being was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him I am healed and made whole.
The chastisement of our peace and well-being was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him I am healed and made whole.
With the help of the Holy Spirit I choose to be kind, caring, considerate and thoughtful of others. I abide in Jesus and His Word abides in me.
I am filled with light and truth, peace and love, benevolence and forgiveness. I choose to offer skillful and godly Wisdom, and submit to the law of kindness.
Father, it is my desire to be controlled by Your love that has been poured into my heart by the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, remind me to be kind to others, tenderhearted, forgiving others as You forgave me, in the name of Jesus.

Today's Bible verses-
1 John 4:10-12 (NLT) John wrote, “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.”
Romans 8:35, 37 (NASB) “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? . . . in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”
Isaiah 45:22 (NASB) “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”
Today's quotes-
You may feel as though you are all alone. Nothing could be further from the truth. God’s promises of His presence, His unfailing love, comfort, hope, and peace abound throughout His word. God’s hope, His presence, His love, is with you, even to the end of the age."
~ Donald G. Bloesch- "Prayer is not simply petition, but strenuous petition. It is not just passive surrender but active pleading with God. It involves not only submission to the will of God but seeking to change his will. It consists not merely in reflection on the promises of God but in taking hold of these promises (cf. Isa. 64:7). (From The Struggle of Prayer, p. 72)
Words of wisdom-
~ We're not to read the Bible for others, for our Sunday School class or congregation, but for ourselves. We're invited to bring all its rays to a focus on our own hearts.

Today's question-
What's the importance of communion?
Jesus said that we're to remember His death each time we take it until He comes again. Our faith in the Lord needs to be Real and updated with His Spirit when considering participation.
What we're to do before we take the elements is to examine ourselves to see if there are any sins we're aware of, which haven't been confessed and dealt with and to repent, giving them to the Lord.
Along with other believers, our taking communion shows that we are believers in what He accomplished at Calvary so many years ago on our behalf.
We can expect the Lord's presence with us as we partake of this remembrance of His sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Unbelievers are encouraged not to partake, as it brings judgement on them for their unbelief.
In whatever we do, we're to do all things to the honor and glory of the Father.
