I find it so amazing in the scriptures that I read
There's more than great abundance to fulfill my every need
There's love in admonition and correction for my soul
And lots of clear instruction that can help to make me whole
But sadly all too often in our haste in life it seems
We rush along undaunted through our list of daily schemes
To stop and listen for awhile to hear God's Spirit speak
And gain the power in His Word He gives for those who're weak
And need more than those things they seek a greater wealth that's found
In time that's spent with focused prayer upon that holy ground
Where God is waiting for us in the pages of His Word
To share with us those mighty truths that few have ever heard
Like take for an example when Paul speaks of being poor
And also great abundance that he had in life before
How he had been instructed to be both at the same time
To both be full and hungry in his spirit heart and mind
Full by the grace God's given that supplies our every need
But also very hungry for what every soul should plead
That more abundant presence of our Saviour's heart inside
The soul that once was empty where His Spirit now abides
For though we may have plenty we should always want for more
Of what the Spirit's holding just for us He has in store
Each moment of existence He's extended to us here
As that that is most precious most delightful and most dear
Like nothing this world offers that will last eternally
As time with Him is far more filled with great abundancy
Of blessings indescribable no tongue could ever tell
Where in that time most intimate we find we are compelled
To take of all our plenty of abundance gained from Him
And share with joy the pleasure that is needed now by them
Who have not met the Saviour as we're privileged to do
Through prayerful time in scriptures that His Spirit leads us to
So friend please don't be hurried in the scriptures that you read
Take time with prayerful focus on how God would have you heed
Each little phrase and wording as He opens up to you
An endless trail of blessing where His Light is fresh and new
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Philippians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 2:1-16
Full And Empty
Lee Forbes
Father, Your desire is for us to find that Your Word provides an abundance for our needs with clear instructions to help make us whole. May we stop and listen for awhile to hear Your Spirit speak, so we can gain power from Your Word.
We'll find You waiting for us on every page of Your Word, to share with us Your mighty truths that few have ever heard. We can learn how we can be instructed to be both full and hungry in our hearts and minds by Your grace, and that Your Word can supply every hungry soul who seeks.
Help us to not be hurried when reading the Scriptures, but to take time to prayerfully focus on what You'd have us heed in each little phrase and wording You open up to us. May we be grateful for the endless trail of blessing we find in Your Word, where Your Light is fresh and new.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Our Ambassador to Israel, Michael David Evens' comments:
"The hand of God is mighty to deliver His children from their troubles. Like Paul we may face great opposition, but in answer to our prayers god works to perform His will."
2 Timothy 3:10:11 "But thou has fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me."

547- Ps. 22:11 "Be not far from me, for trouble is near; for there is none to help."
548- Ps. 116:13 "I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD."
549- Ps. 86:12 "I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore."

Quote for today-
~ Mary Southerland "God created us according to His plan, in love and with purpose – weaknesses and all. We tend to view our weaknesses as liabilities. But if our worth does not depend upon us in any way, we can be honest about our weaknesses, knowing they do not diminish our value in the heart and mind of God. In fact, our weaknesses can become the areas through which God does His greatest work."
Words of wisdom-
~ Our hearts gather wisdom from what we see and hear over time. There are evil influences, too, which can cause us to say things that are harmful to our own souls, as well as to others. May we be determined to guard our hearts and minds, to be careful what we feed them!
Today's Popular post-
Dr. Wesley L. Duewel- 5. Schedule special prayer times for yourself. Minutes saved here and there and invested in prayer are of lasting value. Cry out to God again and again during the day. No sincere prayer is insignificant. Specially scheduled time for prayer, however, permits your payer to become deeper and more intense.
