Sexual Immorality

Tammie Johnson speaks to us: "I would like to speak about a subject that is very touchy. Sexual Immorality.

Oh, our children, our people!

I cry for and hurt for them. I feel so much sadness. Satan has dropped several sexual spirits into the world.

And our people and children are falling right into his trap. And the worst part is our world is saying it's okay. It's acceptable.

God created man and woman to be fruitful and to multiply. Any other combination in sexual relationships isn't what He meant it to be, and is most displeasing to Him, and will bring a curse.

The various epidemics and diseases can be traced to relations other than what God intended. In His Word, we can read what His opinion is on the exposing of ourselves, except in a marriage of one man with one woman. (see  Lev. 18:6-24 to read what His Word says).

God means for the sexual experience to be private, and that it conveys true love for one another. Eph: 5:21-33 offers good advice for husbands and wives, and tells us how to live in peace with one another.

Having sex before marriage is detrimental to all involved, and is outside of God's plan for His children. Our world began exposing women, then moved on to exposing men, and then it moved right on to exposing our children. (God forgive them!)

Other types of marriages became acceptable, and have fallen face first right into Satan's plan to corrupt or twist the world's mind of what a marriage is supposed to be.

They took what God meant for beauty and companionship, to multiply ourselves, and made it a sickness.

Our TV programs have been affected and ruined. I can't believe they are putting the corruption of what wholesome marriage should be in our children's minds.

You would be surprised at what our children see and learn just by watching TV!

We're told to not let our young children watch this or that on TV, but what we don't realize is they are still picking up stuff and learning from it at 17 or 18 yrs old, and older.

They're seeing that our society is teaching them that what they watch is okay.

What has this world come to?

Satan is pulling our children and young adults, and even our older generation into his lie, that sex is okay outside of marriage, which is supposed to be between one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment.

What are we doing as Christians parents and concerned people to stop this? We have to say something. We have to do something! We can't just say it's someone else's problem, because it's not.

By reading Eph. 5:1-21, we're given instructions as to what "fornication, (all forms of sexual activity other than in the marriage between one man and one woman), and all uncleanness, or covetousness" is, and to prove what is acceptable unto the Lord.

It's our job to try and stop it. Don't wait for someone else to do it. Pray against it! Write letters against it! Sign petitions against it! Eph. 5:11 tells us as Christians, "to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."

We're to make it known that it's wrong. And then with God's grace and mercy we will see a difference!

Help make God's plan a reality: Marriage between a man and a woman, and that it is to be a private sexual relationship, not public.

What's going on in our world is having a definite effect on marriages, and is the cause of many divorces. Those statistics have hit the roof! That ought to tell us something..."

Let’s pray:

Father, we pray for our children and young people would learn what Your view and plan is for them in regards to sexuality.

We know there are many viewpoints out there for them to see, and we ask for wisdom in guiding them to desire what's best for them.

When we have opportunity to sign petitions and other ways to raise our voices, urge us to participate.

Lead us to make it a matter of concern in our prayer time, to see folks realize You have blessings for obedience to Your Word.

We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Bible verse: Ps. 78:1,6,7 "Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments."

Today’s quotes: D. DeHaan -

“What freedom lies with all who choose
To live for God each day!
But chains of bondage shackle those
                                  who choose some other way.”

Sandy Kirby Quandt – “God is still in the business of restoration,
redemption, and grace. He still uses broken and battered people
to achieve his goals. He still loves unconditionally, even when we
may not be so lovable.”

Billy Graham - "In the home, character and attitudes are
formed, integrity is born, values by which we live are made
clear, and goals are set. These last a lifetime." (Taken from
1/16 in his devotional, UNTO THE HILLS by Thomas Nelson pub.)

Gwen Smith - "With so many references to God as our helper

(ezer)it is obvious that an ezer is in no way inferior to the
one who receives help. This is important because this is the word
that God uses in Gen. 2:18 when he says about Adam, “It is not
good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper (ezersuitable
for him.”

God then forms Eve as his ezer. According to God’s design,

therefore, the man and the woman, the husband and the wife,
have been designed by God to stand together and help each
other fight the battles of life. And God is there as the divine
ezer to fight with them.  [Jean's bold emphasis]

Some thoughts today: Every Christian has an answer for times
they sin: Repent- (turn away from), and God will forgive! Praise
God!

- Be willing to be obedient to what God reveals to you while

reading His Word, or from your pastor's message, so there'll
be power in your prayers.

- Satan whats us to keep our sins a secret, but Ps. 66:18 tells

us that God won't hear us if we do. And James 5:16 tells us to
confess our faults, so we can get healed!
