All Knowledge

Is it in truth the will of God that leads me where I go
Has He the perfect knowledge of the seeds that I will sow
Can He see in the future all the things I'll say and do
And all the trials and turmoils of this life that I'll go through
(Google image, A God of Miracles

You may be quick to answer yes of course I know He does
As well as He knows all the past and everything that was
And if you did then you'd be right to answer in this way
As He's the One Who knows ahead all things that we will say

And also what we're thinking long before our life drew breath
And even what we'll think and say before we cease in death
Because He is all knowing from eternity that's been
Through all the infinite beyond when He's destroyed all sin

That's what it means when God is God and not like one of us
Beyond all understanding and the simple things we trust
For He knows all dimensions not just what we feel and see
But everything that goes beyond our own humanity

Where angels work and battle for the saving of men's souls
Against the creeping darkness as they break the devil's mold
That holds through fear those captive who see death as that last end
Instead of how the Christian sees a temporary friend

By knowing death in this life is a rest where we all wait
Until the resurrection when all people learn their fate
For either trusting in the Lord and what He's planned ahead
Or fighting conscience to be cast like Satan with the dead

Where all who knew the right Way but chose self to serve in place
Of what God had ordained for them revealed by living grace
That walked and taught among us as One with humanity
And always knew each moment what the next in line would be

And shared before it happened what we needed most to know
To help our faith that's priceless in His eyes the more to grow
That when He comes in glory His elect He'll know and see
Who lived in love the Way He did to be what we can be

A people washed and purified from sin we've done before
And from the sins our fleshly lusts still worship and adore
Until by grace we realize what God observed and knew
But still through love allowed us life to do what we would do
Isaiah 43:9-12; Jeremiah 1:4-10

All Knowledge
by Lee Forbes

Let's pray-

Father, we believe that You not only have perfect knowledge of everything about us today, but You know everything about our future, and what all it holds.
Our understanding of death is to be a rest, where we'll wait until the resurrection when all people learn their fate, and we can trust in what You've planned for us through each moment til then.
Help us grow in our faith in Jesus, for He knows and sees each of us who've been washed and purified from sin.
May we be faithful to You, Father, and may we keep looking for Christ's return once all have been saved who will believe in Him.
In His Name we pray. Amen

Today's Bible verses-

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill
and destroy. I came that they may have life and
          have it abundantly.”

Psalm 42:5 (NASB)  “Why are you in despair, O
my soul? And why have you become disturbed
within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise
Him for the help of His presence.”

Psalm 33:18 (NIV)  “ . . . the eyes of the Lord are on
those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his
        unfailing love.”

Today's quote-

~ Eliza Hickok-
"I know not by what methods rare,
But this I know: God answers prayer.
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the guise I thought.
I leave my prayer to him alone
Whose will is wiser than my own."

Cheri Fuller-

"When the love of a mother for her child is connected
with God's power through prayer, and irresistible force
is released that changes people and situations and
can even impact an entire world."

(Both quotes from her book, DANGEROUS PRAYER
pp. 148, 167)

Today's popular post-

Judy Pierce- "A Mist lingered in the atmosphere as it had for most of the past two weeks. Disappointed, I pointed my chin toward heaven and prayed, 'Father, cheer me up today and let the sun shine brightly this morning—if only for ten minutes. I thank you in Jesus’ name."

  1. Thank you for this post. I always enjoy poetic expressions. "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!" Romans 11:33
