Thoughts for Life: Fruits of Prayer

There is no greater time than this to seek the Lord in prayer

When trials and tribulations are abundant everywhere

When people who've been led astray are living life in fear

They need to know no matter what our God is always here

But few have learned the lesson of the power one can find

When giving all upon our knees of heart and soul and mind

That is available today for living in God's will

Where peace is found in comfort of the One Who wants to fill

Each moment with His wisdom if we're open to His Word

Not living by what others say or by the things we've heard

But by the light found in the dark that's open now to men

Who choose by grace to take their place against the ways of sin

And stand on that foundation that will never ever fail

No matter what the devil does or how he does assail

Through others whom he does control who've given all to him

Not knowing he plans to destroy the heart and soul of them

But those who know the Saviour know His heart is kind and true

And everything He's ever said in truth He'll surely do

And not depend upon our works but where our heart is found

While living in this darkened world still held as Satan's ground

But there again is promise in God's Word it won't be long

When all the world will see the truth of how they had been wrong

And Satan's power will be stripped before their very eyes

As he with all who've followed him receive their part and dies

In that great fire that cleanses earth with all its heaven too

So God can work His mighty work He's wanted long to do

And make again this earth brand new for all the host to see

There is a day that's coming that will last eternally

And that day will be joyful like none other's been before

As all who found their hope in Christ will see what they looked for

God's heaven brought down to the earth as here His throne will be

Established with His people who forsook iniquity

To be like Him they crucified through all their sins before

But Whom now by obedience they show that they adore

And always and forever will with Him abide by grace

They first found through the prayers they prayed while in His hiding place

Let's pray-

Father, as there is no greater time than today to meet You in prayer, we will bring our trials to You through Christ our Savior. We are determined to not live in fear of all that is going on in our world, but to look to You instead.

We understand that the lesson for Your power is found upon our knees, with hearts of gratitude and trust in Your ability to hear and to help. We'll open Your Word to gain Your wisdom to be applied to our dark days when we need to choose grace to stand against the ways of sin.

We are learning that the foundation that never fails, is on the One who knows and controls everything. He knows what the devil's plans are for those who he controls, to destroy their hearts and souls.

As folks learn of You and begin to understand Your heart is kind and true, they'll see that everything You've said, You will surely do. They'll learn not to depend upon the wisdom they find in this darkened world, which is still held as Satan's ground.

As You have promised, it won't be long until the world will see the truth, that they've been wrong, as they see Satan stripped of his power, and those who followed him receive their part in death.

There will be a great cleansing fire on earth and in the heavenlies too. As You want to do a mighty work You've long wanted to do. You are determined to make again this earth brand new for all the host to see, which will last for all eternaty!

What a joyful day like no other. Those who found their hope in Christ will see what they've been looking for: Your heaven and throne brought down to earth! Their obedience will cause them to evermore abide with Christ by the grace they first found through their prayers they prayed while in His hiding place.

We pray this in Jesus' name, for His glory and Your honor. Amen.

Words of wisdom-

We are encouraged to trust that God is directing us through our submissiveness to Him. The question is, "Who's will is in charge?" God, yourself or something else? Keeping our focus on what He tells us in His Word, like strenthening our marriages, is very important to our being in God's image. Linking generations with His love and teachings is what is expected of us as His people.
