About Grieving

Don't go back to where you've been,
Rehearsing failures and past sin;
Repentance means you've made a change.
Forgiveness means you're not condemned.

In faith, move forward into "Today:"

Needing not to prove your merit,
Listening carefully to the Spirit,
Doing what seems wise and loving.

(Image, Silhouette of a woman crying)

Pay attention to your feet.
Direct your steps; walk purposefully.
Let routines guide but not control you.
When you're sad, let Christ console you

Don't, instead, deny your pain:

When unresolved it will remain,
Causing damage to your brain,
Making thought unmanageable.

Anxiety may rise within you,

But it need not overwhelm you.
Stop and breathe; relax your body.
This will help you think more clearly.

When you feel angry, just admit it:

Not with shame upon your face,
Hiding it will build up rage,
It's part of healthy grieving.

If you focus long upon your loss,

Fear may threaten to undo you.
That's the time to take a walk
Or call a friend and share your heart

Someone who will sit in silence,

Not try to fix you but simply listen,
Sometimes reflecting what they hear
But not repeating what you share.

Give thanks for all of God's good gifts:

The autumn orange, red, and gold,
The happy memories your heart holds,
The pleasures of the present day

About Grieving, Jane Ault

Jane's picture

~Mary Southerland- "Father, thank You that You are my strength and my joy. I turn to You in faith and seek Your forgiveness for the pride that blinds me to the hope I find in You. Please help me see Your hand at work in my life. Right now, I lay the broken pieces of my life at Your feet and am counting on You to come through for me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

316-320 one-line KJV Scriptures for those who want to learn one verse each

day

316- Ps. 77:1 "I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and He gave ear unto me."

317- Ps. 78:35 "And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer."

318- Ps. 27:14 "Wait on the LORD; be if good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the LORD."

319- Is. 49:16 "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

320- John 15:14 "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."

Today's quotes-

~ Lisa Morrone, PT-  "God began to show me that the first number I need to dial is J-E-S-U-S, not the phone number of a friend or family member. Once I began to practice this “Throne-first policy” and it became more of a knee-jerk reaction for me, I began to experience real peace, hope, and confidence that not only were my prayers being heard, but they were also setting in motion a heavenly angelic force which was being sent out in response to my prayer (Daniel 10:12)—and quite possibly, before I even prayed a single word (Psalm 139:4)!"

~ Lisa Buffaloe- "Drop your offenses and release your bitterness at the foot of the cross. Let Jesus have anything that has offended you and anything that causes you bitterness. Let Him carry the weight of the world’s problems on His strong, healing shoulders. There is no pain, no heartache, and no difficulty too big for God. God will take everything the enemy meant for evil and turn it into good for those who love Him."
Words from God the Father

I Am Delighted in Every Moment You Give Me

"I am always willing, and I never tire of you. I am delighted in every moment you give Me, for this is our fellowship, and this is how I help you. I am the One who helps you."

Psalm 149:4 "For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation."

Words of wisdom-

~ God's sufficiency for our every need can be found through our weaknesses. Some of our most precious times will be through our trusting Him. We have a constant Companion in Jesus. Nothing can separate us from His Presence. He is accessible for those who believe in Him.

Today's question-

           What do you fear?

Is there anything that God does not have control of in our world, that we should be afraid that He's not monitoring? Do we understand that His over-all will is taking place, according to His plan for His creation? He hasn't forgotten us, and He hasn't been taken by surprise by all the evil that's going on.

What He thinks is just what He should be thinking, that He will bring about the culmination of all His Son went through to accomplish and win His Bride to spend eternity with Him! What is taking place is to work together for our good and for His glory. That is the essence of allowing things to take the course you see.

His Holy Spirit is actively working in and through His people for this reason; to bring about the revival that is anticipated to happen soon because of all that's taking place. Without the troubles, people will not wake up and seek Him! Most churches are nearly dead, and something needs to wake them up to the Real reason they exist!

Christ Jesus is soon to return, and He longs to see His Church alive and well, so He can call her Home! Will we be awakened to our need to repent and to begin praying for the revival that needs to happen in our individual hearts so the the Spirit can do a mighty work?

It has to start with us, you know. Others will be effected by our clean hands and pure hearts, as they'll see Christ formed in us. There's nothing more attractive to Christ than folks who are open and willing to simply obey Him in what He asks of them.

Let's be submissive to the Holy Spirit's leading, and find out what we can do to help usher in Christ's return. Pray for your pastor, worship team and leaders in your church, that they will also submit to the Holy Spirit's leading, to allow Him to govern the services to please Him. Don't be shocked at the changes He'll make either!
