Dr. Wesley L. Duewel- Christians should rejoice again and again in the glorious triumph of Christ on the cross. Not till we reach heaven, however, will we fully realize the eternal significance of the cross for ourselves and for the whole world.
In God's plan the cross of Christ ceased to be an instrument of torture and shame and became His greatest glory. (Google image, Nails in hands)
Do you remember how Jesus showed His disciples the nail prints in His hands and feet and the spear mark in His side (John 20:20, 27)?
In His resurrected body He still wears these marks of the price He paid for our salvation. I believe that you will someday have the joy of fellowshiping personally with Jesus and that He will show you, as He did His early disciples, His nail-pierced hands.
Revelation 5:6 assures us that, throughout all eternity, Jesus will continue to bear the evidence of His sufferings on the cross as His unique badge of honor.
Let me share with you something of the glory of Christ's triumph. It is essential that you understand so you can more effectively bind Satan in your prayer battles and win new victories over him.
The kingdom of Satan
Satan, the archenemy of God and the church, has his own evil kingdom. He rules over fallen angels, demons, and sinners who, from God's viewpoint, are children of the devil (John 8:44).
The fallen angels are not permitted to be active today. They are imprisoned in the darkness of Tartarus (the Greek word for "hell" in 2 Peter 2:4), bound with everlasting chains (Jude 6), awaiting their judgment day.
The demons, however, are very active today. The Greek word for demon, daimon, is completely different from the word used for a fallen angel, angelos. Demons are also called unclean spirits, pneumaton akatharton (Acts 5:16), and evil spirits, pneumata to ponera (19:12-16).
We do not know their origin, but God does not create evil beings; so they, like the fallen angels, were obviously holy at one time, becoming sinful by their own choice.
In this inveterate opposition to God and man, Satan is very dependent on the demons. God is omnipresent, while Satan can be in only one place at a time. God is omniscient, while Satan must depend upon information he receives from his demons.
But Satan is the deceiver of the whole world (Rev. 12:9), the father of all lies (John 8:44). Just as he teaches his demons to lie, no doubt they lie to him, for Satan often seems to act on inaccurate information. God is omnipotent, while Satan has limited power and usually has to work through one or many demons.
Satan is anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-church, anti-Christians, and anti-mankind. He does not love his own; he despises and hates them. His only way to strike back at God is to harm someone loved by God, so he constantly tries to hinder, harm, and damn people. When we speak of binding Satan, we mean binding Satan's power, which is usually exercised through demons.
How Satan has organized the demons in his kingdom of evil we do not know. Scripture uses a number of terms for spirit beings, and often in a way which indicates they are under Satan's dominion. (Dr. Duewel then gives a listing of the terms in Greek, along with references where they may be found).
These terms may refer to different ranks of authority, different backgrounds, or different assignments under Satan. The important thing is that all these beings are limited in power, knowledge, and scope of activity.
All were defeated by Christ at the cross. All know they are awaiting their judgment, to be followed by their eternal punishment (Matt. 8:29).

Let's pray-
"Lord Jesus, you are the resurrection and the life. Your resurrection power is in me, and I am appointed and anointed by you to abound in eternal work for your Kingdom. My victory is assured as I walk uprightly before you. No good thing will you withhold from me! I am accomplishing great exploits for your kingdom, and the best is yet to come, in Jesus’ name! Amen." Lord, I Lift Your Name On High
This popular praise and worship song was written by Rick Founds in 1989.
Founds began writing music at an early age and has written over 300 songs.
Today's Bible verses-
Psalms 28:7 (NIV) "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him."
Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)“I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Today's quote-
~ Max Lucado- "Today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions.
Could that be why Paul writes, “Love…keeps no record of wrongs?”
(1 Corinthians 13:5). We do have a choice. Paul says we do when he writes, “We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Selfishness, step back! Envy…get lost! You are not a victim of your thoughts. If today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions, what happens when we fill our minds with thoughts of God’s love? Will standing beneath the downpour of his grace change the way we feel about others? Absolutely!
Words of wisdom-
~ If you know Jesus personally, you can rest assured that He will stand guard over you. Resting your head against His chest of love and protection, you can sleep all through the night. He revealed the Father's Heart of love, compassion and understanding, so He will guard and protect you so you can sleep peacefully, my friend.
Today's question-
Are you standing true to your faith in Christ?
In the accepting of Christ, there is action that's required. If you believe that He was crucified, buried and that He rose from the dead, and that you've made Him your Savior, then you are obligated to share that with others. They need to know about Him too!
We now bare the image of the heavenly Man, and our hope is in Him and His work within us, to make us like Him, (Who is in the very image of God, the Father; His wisdom and traits). This will be a daily process until we die or leave in the Rapture that's soon to take place!
When the trumpet sounds, those who are believers in Christ's Redemption will be raised to be with Him and will live forevermore with Him in glory. Those who refuse His offer of salvation, will be doomed for separation from the Loving Heavenly Father forevermore, and be in torment forever with the devil and his evil angels.
Be true to what Christ's Holy Spirit leads you to do for His kingdom, my friend, and do your best for Him. Win others to faith, and help them through encouragements to believe that He'll abide within them. He promises to help us be victorious in whatever our daily lives may be. Make Him proud of all you do for His kingdom!
