Why Is Forgiveness Important?

My name is Debbie Kay and I am a Christian author whose calling is to comfort people who are hurting.

With God's help, I have overcome many challenges in life. I know what it is like to be overwhelmed with sadness and grief and to have a heart so broken and battered, you don't know how you can possibly survive the pain.

I also have experienced the wonder of having my pain and grief turned to joy, by a loving and caring Savior

Forgiveness is a huge stumbling block for so many, but we all are called upon to forgive in our lives. Some things are minor and easy to forgive . . . other things are so egregious, that it is only through God’s grace and strength that we are able to forgive.

If we choose to live with unforgiveness, it can impact us on every level of our lives." (Many helpful videos offered. Great post! Facts about forgiveness

Let's pray-

"Father, I come to You with a broken heart. I am a sinner, and I am so sorry for the disobedience in my life. Reveal every wrong attitude and action in my life that is displeasing to You. Right now, I repent. Father, thank You for the precious gift of forgiveness that is mine because of what Jesus did on the cross.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen." Mary Southerland

306-310 one-line KJV Scriptures for those of you who want to learn some more this week-

306- Ps. 31:21 "Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city."

307- Prov. 10:19 "In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise."

308- Ps. 67:5 "Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee."

309- 1 Cor. 2:5 "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

310- Prove. 2:11 "Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee."

Today's quote-

~ Sharon Jaynes"So here’s what God’s asking you and me today…is there someone you haven’t forgiven? It’s time to cut them loose. Let it go. Forgiveness isn’t saying that what the person did isn’t wrong, but that you’re going to let go of the angry resentment, give the person to God, and live free. Forgiveness is setting the prisoner free, and then realizing the prisoner was you."

  "Remember the children’s story,
People tend to want to avoid conflict and have others think highly of them. No one really wants to be the party-pooper, do they? When something in life is obviously wrong, many choose to pretend, it’s part of our human nature.  But caring involves confrontation at times."
"As the truck driver maneuvered his truck into the turning lane, he glanced at traffic around him.

A young girl steered her car into the lane beside him. Watching her, he could see she didn’t know what lane she needed. She bobbed her head left, then right. She was in the wrong lane. Quickly, she pressed the car’s accelerator, slid in front of his semi, and then hit her brakes . . . "

Words from God the Father
Our weekly word from the Father

Truly Do I Delight in You

"Every moment you seek My Presence, My heart bursts with absolute joy and delight. Truly, truly do I delight in you. My love is yours. Everything I do to and for you is intended to bring you further into Me to the place where you are able to receive all that I have done for you. Never, ever will you have to earn My love. It is yours—My love is yours."

Psalm 18:19 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
