Dr. Wesley L. Duewel- Thank God, the Christian is able to resist Satan and cause him to run from the field of battle (James 4:7). Sometimes you must drive him away by prayer and praise. Sometimes you must command him to leave.
Sometimes you must bind his power. Sometimes you must rob him of his captives and in Jesus' name set them free. You have full authority in Jesus' name to defeat Satan on any field of combat. You are not to run. You are to force Satan to run. (Google image, Resist the Devil).
You are to invade the Devii's territory and set his captives free. Satan is nothing but a usurper. Through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us, through Him who goes with us and covers us with the protection of His blood, through Him who has armed us with the authority of His conquering name, you are to battle and defeat Satan again and again.
Some battles may be more prolonged than others, sometimes Satan is deeply entrenched. In some battles you may need the backing of an interceding, fasting group of believers who agree with you in prayer.
But Jesus is Victor now and forevermore. Stand in His victory. In yourself you are nothing, but in Christ and His name you are more than conqueror.
Father, as I am not able to do anything on my own while dealing with Satan and his cohorts, I've decided that I want to carry out Your orders in dealing with him. I know that my power and success comes only from You. Because your grace is sufficient for me, and made perfect in my weakness, I will be able to do all that You ask of me through Christ who strengthens me. Amen.
Today's Bible verses-
Deut. 28:7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
~ Are you aware of Jesus' presence with you? If you're a believer in His sacrificial death, and that He was buried for 3 days, and of his resurrection, you can experience His Spirit's constant presence with you. Receive Him as Your Savior. Find a Bible-believing church, and receive direction and purpose for your life through water baptism and your commitment to Christ. You'll get to see Him physically one glorious day, when He returns for His Bride, the Church!
!0 Things I Hope Never Go Back to Normal After COVID-19
Lori Hatcher
"I’ll admit up front what most would agree to—2020 hasn’t been my favorite year. The changes brought about by the pandemic—my husband’s job furlough, the dangers of working in a healthcare environment, and the stress of helping my aging parents as they sheltered at home have taken their toll.
Add to this the scarcity of supplies, uncertainty about the future, and the difficulty of ministering to our church body during COVID-19, and I’ll readily admit—this year has stretched me."
