The Great Revivals post Update

The Great Revivals post Update

The first great revival was with signs and wonders: shaking, speaking in tongues, falling down, shouting, singing and laughing.

The second one was with healings and deliverances. (Google image)

The third one is presently the evangelism of the global harvesting of souls by the various organizations, such as Benny Hinn and the Franklin Graham ministries, and the way Christ is appearing to the Muslims the world over, and missionaries’ surprising reports of success of winning souls in various parts of the world. All the evidence of the first third great revivals are still being experienced the world over.

The fourth is to get Christ’s Bride ready for His return by our becoming intimate with Him, and by convicting us of our sins, to repent of them and to forsake them. It may be that the Apostle Peter’s original message of Acts chapter 2, will soon be reintroduced world wide, for the cleansing by the water baptism in Jesus’ name for the remission of sins.

It may be then that Christ will come for His Bride who will be spotless! In reading PREPARING for the GLORY, by John & Carol Arnott, I find the reports of the three great revivals. Page 141, they speak of a Holiness Revival next, one of purity, of being set apart.

Because the Lord has impressed me of the importance of Acts 2:38 for years, I have the impression that He intends to bring back Peter’s original message on the day of Pentecost, to round out the Kingdom’s gleaning of souls for Christ. THE GREAT REVIVAL!

Let's pray-

Father, our continued hope today is for an awakening, revival or rapture. Please revive us agian, that Your people may rejoice in you! We pray this in and for the Mighty name of Jesus! Amen

891-895 One-line Scriptures for those of you who want to learn some more verses this week- or to review them from when they were first posted-

891- Is. 59:16 "And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor."
892-  Col 2:3 "In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
893- Gal. 3:11 "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident; for the just shall live by faith."
894- Is. 44:3 "For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon dry ground."
895- 1 Cor. 12:18 "But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him."

~Quote for today-

Patrick Morley, founder of Man in the Mirror, states that in a spiritual revival, "God supernaturally transforms believers and non believers in a church, locale, region, nation or the world through sudden, intense enthusiasm for Christianity."

Words of wisdom-

~ Roy Hession- "The picture that has made things simple and clear to so many of us is that of the human heart as a cup, which we hold out to Jesus, longing that He might fill it with the Water of Life. Jesus is picture as bearing the golden water pot with the Water of Life. As He passes by, He looks into our cup and if it is clean, He fills it to overflowing with the Water of Life."

Words from the Father in a journal:

"Remember that I Am with you to help you. You're going to experience my Love in what you'll be doing in a way new to you. I want to help you realize that I will cause you to keep a closeness with Me that will encourage and bless you."

 Some encouraging words-

~ Greg Laurie puts it this way, "America needs a spiritual awakening. The church needs a revival."

#13 of 23 Parallels between Moses and Messiah:

Moses initiated the sacrifice of a lamb during Passover (Ex. 12)
Messiah offered Himself as the ultimate Passover Lamb (John 1:29; 1 Cor. 5:7)
