We can expect
Jesus to meet us through men of God.
Deacon Stephen preached one sermon, and
was stoned to death. A young man stood by to watch, whose name was Saul. Although
Saul persecuted the church after that, evidently he never forgot the expression
on Stephen’s face, and his testimony of forgiveness for those stoning him. Saul,
who became Paul after his conversion, ended up writing 2/3 of the New Testament!
So Stephen had a part to play in Paul’s
accomplishments. (Acts 7:59)
The following are notes I (Jean) wrote down from prophectic words given to many people at our yearly-scheduled meetings here at our churches in the north country in April. Many of these notes are comments about the way God thinks and are not necessarily prophecies. This year, we envited known prophets; Eldon Wilson and Mike Webster:
"Whatever
God says to do—do it faithfully!
We are not to question, or compare our word with another’s word.
Something you or I may do, may become a great mission.
Without a Stephen, there may
not have been a Paul. (Acts 7:59)
We’re to open
our hearts and be willing and obedient.
Speak beyond
where you are, after you’ve been given a prophetic word.
You cannot make yourself a “teacher”, or any other thing said to you.
Always start where you are.
Make yourself a disciple to get the training.
Give yourself to be directed.
Be concerned about what you do understand.
The prophetic words will take you further than you know.
Do not expect it to be full blown tomorrow.
Some things will come against you to cause you to doubt that the word will be fulfilled.
Our words are weapons we can use against circumstances of impossibilities.
Words can take us through the conflict.
Decisions will be made in hard
times.
These can be opportunities to develop our relationship with God.
We are to learn from our mistakes.
We will be learning how to make good decisions.
Jesus Himself inferred same temptations.
Lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and
pride of life.
Adam and Eve lost out, but Jesus won over
these same temptations!
In receiving prophetic
ministry, we’re launched out and need
Christ’s guidance, strategy & grace to do it.
God can watch over whatever you’re concerned
about.
What you know, you’ll share.
God will rain on you, establishing you.
When we minister to the Lord, we’ll see more evidence of God’s Presence.
The sheer Presence of God is the most valuable gift.
Ps. 95
Praise
promotes the Presence of God.
In times of revival, everyone sings, everyone!
It brings excitement to hear the word of God.
We are
trophies of God’s grace.
It’s not in our ability, but in our availability.
We will wonder how something will come to pass.
God says: “See what you can do, and watch what I will do.”
God will cause faith to walk out what He wants done.
God will give the creativity to get things done.
We’re to sit
with leaders and learn from them.
(Emphasis is Jean's)
“Do not
neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying
on of the hands of the presbytery.” (1Timothy 4:14, NKJV)
