THE BOOK OF LOVE

~ Julie Greness- "While sparkling the housework in my unit one day, I turned my music to a lively old timers’ radio show. One singer crooned, “Who wrote the book of love?” I paused and thought, That’s a good question. (photo courtesy of pixabay.com

I glanced at my large-print Bible. Many people wrote their pages in our book of love in life, and many wrote pages in our Bible, our central Book of Love. The Old and New Testaments prepare us for the love story Jesus has, which is still relevant today and in the future.

Jesus brings the greatest love story ever told. Jesus is our bestie Brother, and our world needs more of Jesus’s love.

We also need more prayers, more healing love, more pacifism, more defenders of the faith, and more peace in our lands. Jesus shows us His gift of love. Our Book of Love still has this message to share—to let His light shine for all.

We can keep praying that we’ll experience the love of the Lord Jesus in good and bad times. Many people can find our Christian Book of Love. Let’s all pray for more godliness as we try to create a future of Love.

How can you introduce others to the Book of Love?"

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity."
Proverbs 17:17 NIV

Let's pray-

Father, while this lady was sprucing up her house, she listened to some music that asked the question, "Who wrote the book of Love?" As it's a good question, let's check the Bible, the Book of Love, to see the many people God used to write it for us and it's relative guidace for us now and for our future.
Jesus brings the greatest love story ever told our world needs. He shows us that we need more healing love, more defenders of the faith and more peace in our lands. The many authors of the New Testament write of His gift of love and encourage us to let Him shine His light into us and share it with those around us.
We're to keep praying that we'll experience this love of the Lord Jesus in good and bad times. May folks recognize that Jesus is working in us to perfect our love for Him  through our godly living.
We ask for more of Your Love to fill us so we can let it flow out into others' lives around us. May they want to know Him and His Love for them too! In His name we ask this. Amen.

 #32 testimony- GrJean

As I believe in God’s ministering angels, I must give Him praise again for providing some help for me! Last night, I thought of something that I needed to get from my wallet, and found that it wasn’t anywhere in my apartment.

It usually is kept in a pocket of the pouch attached to my walker that I use in church. I remembered this morning that it was not there last night. This was not right, as I always kept it zipped up there when I went to church, or in plain sight here on my diningroom table.

I asked several friends to pray about finding it, as some important cards and money were in it. And as they were all gifts from the Father, I asked for His help to relocate it. It was a complete mystery to me, as I had no idea where it could be.

This morning, my daughter-in-law came and asked if I had found my wallet. I said that I hadn’t yet. She went over to the walker and reached into the pouch she had given me a while ago for the walker, and lifted the wallet out and handed it to me! I was delighted, as I knew it hadn’t been there the night before, and would have had to have been put there by an unseen visitor!

I’d been believing that God would somehow return it to me, and hoped it would be soon, as I had planned on treating a friend to lunch the next day with the gift card from Stewart's shop that was in it. I’m thankful for the unseen helper, and appreciate his ministering again in this way for me.

May my readers realize that God uses His angels to help us in our need when we ask Him. It is one of those impossible and unconditional love-provision acts of His!

I do believe that it’s the Holy Spirit’s working on our behalf, causing the ministering angels to assist us. We’re not to speak to them directly, as they only act from God’s Word to them in response to our prayers. But we're to ask the Father for them to help us in our needs!

 #32 hymn- There's a Wideness In God's Mercy
 There 's a Wideness in God's Mercy-

"A gently moving accompaniment propels this new melody by Thomas Wesley with a timeless message. Unison passages give way to simple four-part harmonies in the first stanza. The middle section explores shifting tonalities as the music word-paints the text until hope rises in a new key with the theme of God's love and kindness.
A call to simple, loving Christ-likeness is beautifully set in the final stanza and ending. The accessible part-writing and beautiful melody will make this a new favorite."

 Some encouraging words-

~ When God calls us to play a role in His story, it is often out of sync with our personal and cultural expectations, whether financial, situational, physical, or even relational. This can shock us and produce heartache, and it can undoubtedly frighten us. But if God's in it, we can be assured that He will guide in every detail for its completion, to the glory of Christ or Savior!

~ The real test of gratitude is in the middle of the greatest storms of our lives. Gratitude is wrapped around trust and contains the element of acceptance. Our being grateful  helps us understand that God is sovereign and that His ways are not our ways. But even though we won’t always understand God’s process, we can always trust His heart!
