I Love America’s Flag

I love America’s flag.
Her colors, red, white and blue.
She’s the symbol of our freedom,
Of what’s so precious to me and you.

I love America’s flag.
Dear Ole Glory waving high.
May her stars and stripes forever,
Be seen flying in our sky.

I love America’s flag.
See her waving through our land.
For here we salute and honor her,
In the field and the grandstand.

I love America’s flag.
Her rising, waving at first light,
High atop her guarding post,
Then folded away at ev’ning light.

I love America’s flag.
She stands for freedom and liberty.
May we all love and respect her,
And give her that due dignity.

I love America’s flag.
Many fought and bled for her.
And for all that she stands for,
Many gave all and died for her.

I love America’s flag.
Her colors so brave and proud.
We’ve flown her on the battlefield,
And paraded her through the crowd.

I love America’s flag.
And each patriot loves her too.
She stands for all that we hold dear,
So forever to our flag be true.

I love America’s flag.
From our first struggle she was born.
Ev’ry stripe and star was stitched,
To throw off tyranny with scorn.

I love America’s flag.
She frowns on our disunity.
As one we put our trust in God,
And live to make all men free.

I love America’s flag.
I see her waving in the sky.
May God bless America,
And keep our flag waving high.

Let's pray-

"My life is complete in You, Lord Jesus. Every answer, every need, every solution I have need of is available to me. You are Jehovah-Rapha, my Healer, Jehovah-Nissi, my Victory, Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider. You are Jehovah M’Kaddesh, my Sanctifier, Jehovah-Shalom, my Peace, and Security. My Shepherd, you’re Jehovah-Rohi, Jehovah-Tsidkenu, my Righteousness, and Jehovah-Shammah, my ever-present Friend. Because I am complete in You, Lord Jesus I can overcome my insecurities and bring maturity and wisdom to every relationship for the good and benefit of others. Amen"

Scripture Reading:
Colossians 2:10

271-275 one-line Scriptures for those of you who want to learn some more this week-

271- Ps. 108:13 "Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies."
272- Ps. 145:3 "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable."
273- Lam. 3:25 "The LORD us good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him."
274- Ps. 100:2 "Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing."
275- Ps. 71:5 "For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth."

Today's quote-

~Oswald Chambers- "Moods nearly always are rooted in some physical circumstance, not in our true inner self. It is a continual struggle not to listen to the moods which arise as a result of our physical condition, but we must never submit to them for a second. We have to pick ourselves up by the back of the neck and shake ourselves; then we will find that we can do what we believed we were unable to do. The problem that most of us are cursed with is simply that we won’t. The Christian life is one of spiritual courage and determination lived out in our flesh." (From My Utmost for His HighestUpdated Edition)

Words of wisdom-

~ When we entertain thoughts of our failures to deal with our feeble efforts to handle a situation in the past, may we remember that there's now no condemnation in the Lord for it. (Romans 8:1). Release it, and look to the Rock of your salvation for today!

#66 Living on this Side of Pentecost

 by Dr. Wesley L. Duewel
(pp. 111-112) Zondervan

Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: "Living on this side of Pentecost, we have far greater availability of the Spirit's ministry than had the saints of the Old Testament.  We should know in a far greater degree the power and reality of prayer and the life of prevailing prayer through the Spirit."
