#106 Pray On till Satan Is Defeated

Dr. Wesley L. Duewel- 7. Pray on till Satan is defeated. How long should you continue the prayer battle? Until the victory comes. If God gave you the initial payer burden, the battle is no yours, but His.

If the battle continues over a period of days or months, you will not always have the same prayer burden or the same amount of time to devote to it. But you can maintain your prayer commitment. You can keep standing on God's promises, praising Him for the answer that is coming.  (Google image, How to get on God's good side

Keep the prayer pressure on Satan. Take your place of authority with Christ. Stand firm in the authority of Christ's name. Continue repeated longer prayer times as the Holy Spirit leads and enables you.

This was Isaiah's determination: "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet. till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch" (Isa. 62:1).

What instruction of Christ kept the disciples praying in the upper Room? "Stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high" (Luke 24-49) How long must you pray? Until.

When God gives you a prayer assignment, consider that your sacred responsibility until (1) the answer comes, (2) the situation or person is removed, or (3) God lifts the prayer concern from your heart.

When you know you have been praying in the will of God, you can be sure that Christ continues to intercede also. Don't break your prayer partnership with Him until the need is past.

How long should you ask? Until the answer is given to you. How long should you seek? Until you find. How long should you keep knocking on heaven's door? Until the door is opened.

May I repeat, as surely as God is on His throne, in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Gal. 6:9). Heaven and earth may pass away, but His word will never pass away or fail.

Let's pray-

Father, as we recognize that the prayer battles are not ours, but Yours, may we not give up on standing on Your promises for the answers that You'll have coming. We ask that you help us remember that we have authority with Christ, and that if longer prayer times are needed, Your Spirit will help us be faithful to continue to pray.

As we have been clothed with power from on high, may we pray until the answer comes of the changing of the situation, removal of the person involved, or You lift the prayer concern from our hearts.

When we know that we are praying in Your will for a situation, and are agreeing with Christ in His intercession, may we not break our partnership with Him until the need is met. As sure as Christ is seated on the throne interceding along with us, we can depend upon Your word of promises will never cease or fail.

We are coming to You in the precious name of Jesus, so that Your will can be done for Christ's glory and the good of those we're praying for. Amen.

Today's Bible verses-

John 12:32 (NKJV) "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."

Romans 16:20 (NKJV) "And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you . Amen.

1 Cor. 16:13, 14 (NKJV) "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (v. 14) Let all that you do be done with love."

Galatians 6:9 NIV "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Quote for today-

~ Billie Hanks, Jr.-  Without Christ interceding for us, there would be no hope for the human race. Why is this true? Isaiah expressed it in these dramatic words: "All our righteous acts are like filthy rage." (Isaiah 64:6 NIV). They are a stench in the nostrils of a holy God. Paul said, "There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10 KJV).
Without Christ's many prayers on our behalf and His selfless act of intercession when He took our place on the cross, we would be doomed to the penalty we deserve because of our sin. How eternally grateful we can be that Christ cared enough to give Himself on our behalf. He was the perfect intercessor!

Words of wisdom-

~ When we are faced with decisions, we are best able to handle them when we’ve sought the Lord’s input. He will be faithful to remind us of His ways, revealed in His Word, so we can have wisdom at our disposal at all times. We needn’t be fretful of any up-coming event, if we’ve taken time to pray for insight and direction.
