Gospel For Asia

   "Did you know that in order to change the world, God always searches for an individual who is radically committed to Him?"

{I trust you have such a commitment to Christ. I posted about a book called Revolution in World Missions a while ago, and now want to share today's letter from K. P. Yohannan of Gospel For Asia  concerning the need in Asia.}

   "Let me share with you how you can influence and impact your world in a greater and more exciting way that you ever imagined.

   I think you will understand clearly after you read the following true story of a young couple in Nepal-

As the witch doctors left their house, Sita and her husband faced the bitter truth. No one could help them now. Soon their sick baby daughter, who had brought so much joy into their family, would be dead. Sita and her husband wept bitterly.

As long as Sita could remember, she and her family had performed every Hindu ritual that was required. They had faithfully worshiped at the many holy shrines and temples. Now she asked herself in desperation, 'Why are my gods not answering when I need them most? Why are they angry?'

 That same day a stranger arrived at the small Nepali village, telling everyone about a new God. He proclaimed that this Jesus was able to forgive sins, give eternal life and even heal the sickprovided they put their faith in His name.

When the news reached Sita, in desperation she and her husband begged this national missionary to come and pray for their dying girl. He did, and the Lord confirmed His Word by healing her.

Today Sita and her husband are full-time missionaries to the thousands of unreached villages of Nepal. Just as the Good News was once brought to them, they now bring it to others.

National missionaries like Sita and her husband are able to preach the Gospel full time because someone like you in North america made a decision to take the Great commission
seriously and send them out.

It takes only $120 to $210 a month to fully support a national missionary, including the family support and ministry expensesa very small amount compared to the thousands of dollars needed to support a Western missionary.

Right now, nearly three billion people are unreached by the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most live in Asia, where many nations are closed to outside missionaries.

But God has raised up thousands of national missionaries like Sita and her husband. They are willing to take the gospel to their own peoplein spite of the suffering and persecution that await them.

By helping to sponsor one of these dedicated national missionaries for just $30 a month,you will make an eternal difference in the lives of millions of people in Asia, and at the same time fulfill your desire to obey the Great Commission. 100% of your pledge goes to help provide for your missionary—nothing is taken out for administrative expenses.

On the behalf of millions of people in Asia who are waiting for a Gospel witness, I ask you to please decide today to help sponsor a national missionary...

Hundreds of national missionaries are ready to go and lay down their lives, but they need someone like you to become a sender like the Bible says in Romans 10:14-17.

It takes someone whose life is totally surrendered to Christ to stand in the gap for those who have never heard the Gospel.

Are you willing to be such an individual?...I guarantee you, the Lord will fill your heart with His joy as you allow Him to use your life to extend His kingdom"

Taken from a letter by K.P. Yohannan, president of Gospel for Asia  www.gfa.org

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tiding of good things!' ..So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Rom. 10:14-15, 17).

I (Jean) urge you to help a national missionary! I plan to help, as I am able... {As it turned out, I had an increase in finances that made this possible!}

Today’s 37th truth: If you are “born again”, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21)
This afternoon’s thought:  Blessings come when we obey.
