Marie Weaver shares with us Maggie's experience:
"Alzheimer’s leaves him pacing, foggy of mind, and childlike.
Maggie walked beside Denny down the long walkway—again.
He carried his favorite cup filled with grape juice. Often he has a cookie baked by his lovely wife.
Little recognition and lack of understanding keeps him unaware of his surroundings. Slowly, his normal body functions deteriorate.
When he said hi to me, he shook my hand and smiled.
It was just a moment, a rare moment of clarity that rarely arrives these days.'
Yet, Maggie stands by her husband and loves him.
It doesn’t matter he doesn’t recognize her. She isn’t concerned he can’t dress himself or feed himself with a fork.
Maggie holds his hand and loves him. She is faithful and allows the Lord to guide her in her actions. God gives her great strength.
Maggie’s love is just a small inkling of God’s love.
It’s hard to imagine how God can love so many of us as much as He does.
He knows every need, every name…every hair on our heads.
Just getting our heads around this abounding love is more than we can truly conceive.
Better yet, God’s love is so great, nothing in creation can separate us from Him.
What a gift. What a promise.
Maggie doesn’t judge her husband. Even though Denny doesn’t understand what’s going on around him, he’s still loved by God.
There’s no judgment in the Lord’s eyes. He accepts Denny as he is, His child.
Maggie‘s Christ-like example is one we all should follow. Try to imagine this example. Try to imagine this love and make an effort to conform."
"…neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39

Our quote today:
John
Hagee – “Patience is not the ability to wait. Waiting is a fact of
life. Patience is the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.”
Our thought for today:
We
are to constantly empty ourselves, and being filled with the Holy Spirit by
spending time before God in prayer.
