Mournful to Hopeful

Max Lucado tells us, "In May of 2008, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth lost their five-year-old daughter in an automobile accident.

They were deluged by messages of kindness.

One in particular gave Steven strength.

It was from a pastor friend who’d lost his son in an auto accident.

“Remember, your future with your daughter will be greater than your past with her.”

Death seems to take so much.

We bury the wedding that never happened, the golden years we never knew. We bury dreams.

But in heaven these dreams will come true. Acts 3:21 says that God has promised a “restoration of all things.”

All things includes all relationships.

Our final home will hear no good-byes. Gone forever. Let the promise change you. From sagging to seeking, from mournful to hopeful!

From dwellers in the land of good-byes to a heaven of hellos!

You’ll get through this!

Let’s pray:

Father, help us remember Your promises of the difference we'll find in Heaven.
For those of us who have a friend or relative there, may we choose to accept Your words of a better time ahead, than what we once knew with them.
It is my prayer that those who do not know You now, will make it a sure thing that they'll join me there!
Soften their hearts to the Truth of Salvation that's available to us all in and through Jesus.
In His Name we pray, Amen.

Today’s Bible verse- Zeph. 3:17 "The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty: he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

P
astor Rick Sinclair's message on the value of marriage

Lisa Criscitello  "Mind-blowing messages. Biblically based truth, delivered in an absolutely amazing way. Spirit filled leadership and we are just in awe of the blessings surrounding us right now."

Today’s quotes- David McCasland "We may face some limiting circumstance today. Whether it is the result of our failure, or through no fault of our own, we can "go" through it or seek God's strength to "grow" through it. The challenge of every confinement is to increase rather than decrease; to grow and not diminish. The Lord's goal is to give us "a future and a hope".

~ Our Daily Bread- "A limited situation may afford the soul a chance to grow."

Help
Me Be Still

Why must I always be busy?
Why can I never rest?
Why must I always be "doing"?
Whom do I need to impress?

I have a preconceived notion
The stillness is not a good sign'
If others see me just sitting,
Some fault in me they will find.

I seem to forget dear Jesus,
That You always took time to be still,
That I must make time for silence,
If I'm ever to learn Your will.

Help me to change my old habits.
Teach me to slow down my pace.
Show me where I should be heading,
And fill me with Your loving grace.

Some thoughts today-

- Scriptures give a world view. They embody God's view. He gives us His principles to live by, for a healthy relation to life and God.

- As God values human life, He says "do not kill". Every society that does not follow His law on this, crumbles in time.

- Many people look for evidences that God is Real. Signs and wonders are a grace for us to help unbelievers who'll need them to believe. God wants us to allow His gifts that are within us, to flow for the good of all.
