Father, may we understand that
our children need responsibility tasks
in order to prepare them for adulthood.
I ask that the information in this
message today be what helps parents better handle the opportunities they have in teaching their children to submit to authority, starting with theirs.
I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Some thoughts today: Let's slow down and look at others. We owe it to them to listen. When we look into their eyes as they speak, they'll know we're listening.
- When speaking with our children, we're to show them respect and honor by paying attention to what they have to say, too.
- Sometimes, we may need to explain more than once what we want the child to accomplish. Words of gratitude and praise are important to them when the chore is completed.
