James H. Cagle: The Bible says, “Blessed are the undefiled” (Ps. 119:1). The state of holiness and cleanliness and sanctification is the state of blessedness the writer is referring to.
The blessed state is one of morality and purity that a person comes into after they’re saved by walking “in the law of the Lord” and keeping “his (God) testimonies” and seeking “him (God) with the whole heart” (vs.1-3). (Google image of a smiling Asian couple)
The “blessed” state is equivalent to moral purity or being “undefiled.”
The state we’re in is the consequences that reflect the power of the choices that we made that created those consequences. The blessed state of being undefiled is the consequence of a person's choice to consistently walk in obedience to God’s Word.
The idea here is that all mankind walk down life’s way and live in a world that’s sin-cursed in which most people are happy to participate and cooperate with because it’s their sinful nature.
The redeemed choose not to participate or cooperate with a world system that’s Antichrist. The only way they are given to walk by God that will keep their garment unspotted by the world is to walk according to the Word of God.
Many Christians are defiled by the world and therefore do not know God’s blessings. This defilement doesn’t happen by accident or against our will.
Defilement happens as a result of our willful choice to sin. Sin is not a mistake but a deliberate choice to disobey God’s known will.
Purity is a quality of the heart and a state of being that’s manifested by a life of holiness. Purity cannot be taken from us no matter what someone does to us. Purity is lost when we give our consent to sin and become defiled.
Sin and defilement are the end result or consequences that are created through the power of bad choices.
Holiness, sanctification, and undefiled are the end result or consequences that are created through the power of Godly choices.
It’s the power of choice that creates the consequences which shape our environment and person. We should make our choices based on our knowledge of the future consequences we know we’ll eventually face.
The power of a choice is its ability to create and determine our future in such a way that we can easily trace the consequences back to our choice, and blame no one but ourselves for the problems we’re facing.
Blessed will be those who choose to walk in God’s Word.
A Choice that God Blesses

Father, it is our desire to walk undefiled from evil influences all around us.
With the help of Your Holy Spirit, we can be successful through right choices and determination to be obedient to Your Word.
Because You are an ever-loving God, we're aware of Your willingness to help us stay in peace through prayer and our communing with You each day.
Make us aware of what would be bad choices, and to know their consequences, so we can look to You for help in our sanctification walk, to be able to please You.
We ask this for Your glory and for our growth in faith, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Today's Bible verses-
Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT) “You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on
you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the
eternal Rock.”
all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on
you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the
eternal Rock.”
(Is. 46:4 MSG) "Even to your old age I am He, and
even to white hair with age will I carry you.I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry, and will save you."
Today's quotes-
~ Lisa Buffaloe- "Remember the stability of our peace comes from the stability of our unfailing, unchanging, ever-loving God."
~ John C. Maxwell- "One of the greatest problems people have with failure is that they are too quick to judge isolated situations in their lives and label them as failures. Instead, they need to keep the bigger picture in mind. Failure is Not... 1. People think failure is avoidable--It's Not. (6 other things failure is not can be found in his good book, Failing Forward.
~ Ernie Miller- "prayer . . . a continuation of the conversation the Lord and I have already been having as we walk along each moment each day. It's not as though I try to get His attention, make my requests . . . then depart. No, a thousand times no . . .
prayer isn't just a conversation but a living relationship expressed at times in words but testified of by expression of Gods power and our praise. It's like the communication between a newlywed couple, deep in love so anxious to hear each other's hearts and how that conversation changes over time as love grows deeper and deeper between the two.
This ongoing conversation . . . It's a fruit of the hearts being one."
