Once Again

The flow of life was never meant to cease or meet an end
For God intended everyone to live as long as Him
It was not in His purpose for one soul to suffer pain
Nor for the clouds to form on high and storms to drop their rain

For Eden’s home was prefect as He watered it with dew
And every moment glorious that our first parents knew
And walking with their Maker the first gardener and his wife
There never was the slightest hint of anger hurt or strife

But as we know the serpent that old devil helped them fall
And not just did the two of them get damaged but us all
Until we find depravity has almost won the day
And sin has ruined everything for which we have to pay

Unless we know the Maker in a way not like before
But in the Way that shows us no one else could love us more
The Way that sees He suffered for the evil things we’ve done
And gave the greatest Sacrifice in Jesus Christ His Son

To buy us back that privilege that few have yet to know
And live within the splendor in that place where saints will go
To reign with Him forever as intended at the first
As kings and priests eternal in that land where none will thirst

But will drink from that river known as life from out His throne
That flows between the Tree of Life that we will call our own
And every day we’ll revel in the joy of knowing Him
More deeply than the angels who still have His life in them

For we will know the feeling only those He saved could know
The feeling of salvation that will be our gift to show
To all the worlds unfallen that they too might love Him more
In that place He’s preparing and His grace now holds in store

Once Again

The most important part:

Genesis 1:31-2:6; 3:14, 15, John 3:11-21

Revelation 22:1-5

Let's pray-

Father, as we look back to when our first parents were in the garden of Eden, we can see what started the sin we all have to deal with. You hadn't planned on us to suffer pain, for that wasn't what You wanted for Adam and Eve to experience.

But as You knew it would turn out that way, you reached out to them in love, and you promised You'd make a way back into Your graces one day through someone. We see now that through Your Son, Jesus Christ, the way back to You has been accomplished!

We know that the serpent, the old devil himself helped them to fall from Your grace. Not just the two of them got damaged, but we all did. No one other that Your Son could love us like You do, so You sent Jesus, with flesh and blood like us, and Who willingly suffered for all the evil things we've done on the Cross of Calvary may years ago.

He bought back the privilege for those who have yet to know, to live within the splendor of being saints to reign with Him forever, which is what You intended at the first.

Your desire is for us to drink from the river that flows out of Your throne,  where everyday we'll revel in the joy of knowing our Lord Jesus more deeply that the angels.

Our prayer today is to give You praise and thanksgiving for all You've done for us, and to have peace with You. We look forward to being kings and priests eternally in that land where none will thirst again.

In Christ Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Quotes for today-

~ Monica La Rose- "At the heart of faith in Jesus is the experience of being seen, loved, and embraced by our Savior — at  our worst (Romans 5:8); 1 John 4:19). It's the wonder of realizing we can surrender our old, false selves for who we truly are in Christ [Ephesians 4:23-24). And it's the joy of understanding that we are no longer alone but part of the family, a 'body' of those learning to walk the 'way of love'—real, unconditional love (5:2).
When we remember what Christ has done for us (v. 2), how can we not long to see others the way He sees us?" [4/26/21, ODB]

Ryan Duncan- "If Jesus had wanted to be recognized for his power he would have ridden into Jerusalem as the conquering hero the Jews expected him to be. Instead, he came quietly, touching the lives of the lost and overlooked. His “works” were the restoring of hearts and souls, not just physical bodies. By doing so, he gave a blind man the ability to see truth, where the Pharisees became blind to it. Let us make sure the Church doesn’t become blind as well."

Words of wisdom-

~ May we begin to understand that the Lord’s ways are best, and that we’d do well to be patient in waiting for Him to move on our prayers. He knows what everything looks like concerning our desires and prayers, and He is determined to answer our prayers in due time. We will see Him move on what concerns us in what will be the best time and way for everyone concerned.
