Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: We will never have enough time for prevailing prayer unless we deliberately plan for it. Our days will become as crowded as we permit.
The time we give to prayer by deliberately planning is the measure of our value of prayer. It is the measure of our love for those for whom we pray. (Google image, God Hears)
It is the measure — of our love for Jesus. It is cheap to sing about our love for Jesus and then not take time with Him in joyous communion and tearful burden sharing of His intercession.
Obviously, you do not engage in prevailing prayer for a large number of requests at the same time. Usually you will seek to prevail for one main priority request, or at the most for two or three main heart-cries.
You may have many items on your prayer list and may carry a continuing burden for many items on your heart. But true prevailing focuses on one or two priorities at a time, seeing them through to the assurance of victory. You need not neglect your continuing requests to prevail specially for one or more urgent needs.
Just as prayer should be a major priority in your life, so in prevailing prayer you must seek the Spirit's guidance as to what your priorities are during the time of prevailing.
Normally when the Spirit guides you to a priority, you keep major focus on it until you know you have prevailed and have the Spirit's inner assurance that your prayer is granted by God. Many people have referred to this experience as "praying through."

Mighty Prevailing Prayer
#93 Plan Your Prayer Time
by Dr. Wesley L. Duewel
(p. 160) Zondervan
Father, we ask that You remind us to give time to deliberately plan our praying, as it will enable us to crate a higher value for doing it.
We'll learn what the measure of our love is for those we pray for by creating special times of prayer for their benefit.
May we stay focused in our prevailing until we have the inner assurance of the Spirit's witness that our prayer is granted by God.
We look to You to guide us in our praying, and ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Today's Bible verses-
(Ps. 6:9) "The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer."
(Ps. 139:4) "For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether."
(Ez. 22:30) "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land."
Today's quotes-
Samuel Chadwick- "There are many problems about prayer, but they lie outside the fact and experience of prayer, and apart from praying there is no solution to them. Prayer is a fact of experience, and through all the ages the testimony of those who payed has been that God hears and answers prayer of His children. (Taken from his book, THE PATH OF PRAYER, p. 14).
Jennifer Benson Schuldt- "Jesus is not merely a token of love, like a rose passed from one person to another. He is the divine human who willingly gave up His life so that anyone who believes in Him for salvation can have an everlasting covenant relationship with God. Nothing can separate a Christian "from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 8:39). [Our Daily Bread devotion 2/14/17]

Our God Will
Want the Very Best
"When we desire the truth to see
From those who teach God's Word,
We'll check their words more carefully
To see if Truth we've heard.
It won't take long for you to learn
If your soul they should feed.
You'll understand if they can earn
The right for them to lead."
