the harlot of Revelation 17, (Territoriality Then and Now) which is the most explicit New
Testament example I have found of a demonic spirit controlling nations and peoples.
Susan Garrett, in her detailed study of Luke's writings, concludes that..
"Luke regards Satan as a powerful being with
much of the world under his authority. He
controls individuals by means of sickness and
demon possession. He controls entire kingdoms
whose inhabitants live in the darkness of idolatry,
worshipping Satan and giving him the glory that is due
God alone.
That Satan controls kingdoms is also obvious from the
offer he made Jesus at the temptation in the wilderness
when he showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world
and said, 'All these things I will give you if You will fall
down and worship me' " (Matt. 4:9).

Father, I've begun to understand that my own war against the kingdom of evil is an important part of Christ's battle in and through us presently. I know He expects us to look to His ability to be overcomers in each battle we face, and to call on His Name for help. He won the war on Calvary, but we're to apply what He did today in order to be successful in our own efforts to come against the demonic plans to destroy us, and to take us out. Please apply Your Blood to us as we make every effort to remain true to Your Word, and to overcome every temptation to sin willfully. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Today’s Bible verse: Lam. 5:21 "Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned, renew our days as of old."
Today's praise verse: 2 Chron. 20:21 "After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: 'Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.' "
Today’s quote: N. Joan Huth - "Jesus released us from the power of Satan when He died on the cross for all mankind. When we, as Christians, acknowledged this truth and received Him into our lives as our Savior and Lord, we also received his power against the enemy. As we grow in the knowledge of who we are in Christ, the desire to fight against Satan becomes more of a reality. Yes God will fight for us; He will answer our prayers, but He also expects us to use His power by the words we speak in the mighty name of Jesus, His Son." (Taken from Joan's booklet, Energizing Your Prayer Life)
Some thoughts today: You won't ever know all about what God's called you to do, but He'll be faithful in revealing His will as you go.
- God wants to extend His favor to those you minister to. - Ask God to step out with you, as you make an effort to obey Him.
