How are you?

Kim Damon sometimes is asked:
"How are you?" Sometimes I say:
"I'm good!" or: "I'm well!"
sometimes: "I'm a mess!"
It's all true.

(Google image, How Are You Today?)

Every moment brings new waves to process,
sometimes I catch myself holding my breath
(for the fearful thoughts)
then reminding myself to rest.
I breath.
This was my morning musing:
Faith that does not keep us (during trial), is shallow.
A God who will not keep us during hardship is not Almighty.
Trial is a test slide, allowing the hypothesis of all we hope for to be proven true.
Not only so,
God is completely faithful.
All God's ways are born of His love.
All God's ways are good.
The brokenness of sickness, sin and death,
are not able to separate us from His love.
The light of God's countenance shines over
sickness, loss and sorrow,
just as over
joyous celebrations.
If anything differs, it is our increased need.
His sovereign love is ever present
ever able, to attend.
His sovereign love is battling all powers and principalities
that would come against His children.
The sovereign love of Christ interceding
for us, attending (even)
the sighing of our hearts,
because of His great love.
We need not fear.
So,
as the waves of fear crash over me,
I breath deeply the love of Christ.
My heart and my flesh may fail,
But my Almighty God
holds me secure.
The sovereign love of
Almighty God
keeps me
because I'm His."

Prayer-
Praying over Bible

Father, may Kim's words remind us that if our faith doesn't keep us during a difficult time, it is shallow.
You, our God can and will keep us during hard times, for You are Faithful and Almighty!
Your love will shine over our brokenness, sickness, loss and sorrow, as not even these can separate us from You.
Our hearts and our flesh may very well fail, but Jesus will hold us secure, because we are His.
Thank You for these truths, Lord! We need added faith to believe in Your surrounding love today, so we ask for this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Today's Bible verse-

(Psalm 40:1-3, (NIV) "I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD".

Today's quote-

Ernie Miller- "As you wake tomorrow and have your first thoughts . . . remember you have the mind of Christ.

As you venture out and look about, the trees, the fields, the mountains, all of the land your eyes behold . . .

Remember it all belongs to the Lord, for the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof . . . as you begin your first task whatever it may be . . .

Remember you can do all things in Christ as you face your first trial of the day be it with another or with yourself . . . remember you are more than a conqueror in Christ.

When you begin to grow weary through all that you face, remember that nothing is impossible to God.

If you stumble and fall and condemnation fills your heart . . . remember there is now no condemnation for those in Christ.

If you find yourself alone and it seems no one cares . . . remember He will never leave you nor forsake you . . .

When faced with anxiety or cares remember . . . to cast all of them upon Christ, for He cares for you.

And as you lay your head upon your pillow at the end of the day, remember He never slumbers or tires, giving to His beloved even in their sleep."

[The Apostle] "Paul is like the 'Eveready Bunny.' He just keeps going and going and going.

One day Paul is stoned and left for dead in Lystra, and the next day he leaves with Barnabas for the neighboring city of Derbe to preach some more."

Today's question-

Do you understand what's meant by "fellowship"?

As we were created in God's image, we have His likeness inbred
in us. His greatest desire is to have fellowship with us. We were meant to have a close relationship (fellowship) with Him, and nothing will fulfill us otherwise. No matter what we may choose to fill this God-created void in our souls, it will not satisfy.
God wants us to relate with others of like faith in him too, and to experience fellowshipping with them, as it can build our faith, and teach us to put into practice His principles of getting along with others.
