The Trumpet Soon to Sound

Lee Forbes:

The sounding of the trumpet soon will peal across the air
As message of the Gospel will have gone to everywhere
God's voice will sound like thunder as the saints will then rejoice
To hear words from the Father that they made the perfect choice

In choosing to be faithful in the face of evil men
Who tried to force complacence to be like them in their sin
But by the grace of Jesus would not bend nor compromise
The path that they had chosen which would lead to heaven's prize

And even though the trouble they had suffered from the ones
Who claimed to be their brethren yet denied the Father's Son
Had tried them to the utmost in their faith and love for Him
The glory of His coming will be worth it all for them

For nothing can compare that day to what will fill their hearts
To know that in the final work they chose to do their part
And Christ at His appearing will acknowledge them to be
His children in His image with Him for eternity

No more to face the trials or perplexities of men
Who once had turned their back on God to live a life of sin
For then will sin be swallowed up with death and with the grave
As all will have eternal life from Him Who came to save

The children of His making whom He loved beyond compare
And even gave His perfect life that with them He might share
The blessings of His Kingdom and the worlds beyond the sky
That through eternal ages they might live and testify

To how it felt to feel the grace of God poured out through them
When they were first converted and would share their love for Him
And even though they stumbled He would still help them to be
Repentant and converted back from sin's depravity

And how it felt to see a soul once lost to Satan's ways
Be captivated by God's love that heals the ones it saves
And molds them in the likeness of the One Who died for them
Who crucified did rise again to make them one with Him

So friend if you're not ready to rejoice to hear that sound
And feel that you're still with the lost instead of with the found
Release the hold you have on self let God remove your sin
And spend the time that we have left with His life formed within.

Ephesians 2:8-13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58

What Are You Searching For?
Debbie McEwen

"As I zoomed in for closer shots of the 'supermoon' in November. As I searched for clarity, I found what I was seeking.  Jesus told us 'seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you.' "

Pray with eyes closed

Father, when the Gospel message is preached everywhere, we know You'll shout that the time has come to join You, and to receive our new bodies!
We'll rejoice as we hear the trumpet call and rise to be with our Jesus forever.
By God's grace we'll have chosen to be faithful to Jesus, though evil men have tried to influence us to compromise the path to heaven's prize.
We were once lost to Satan's ways, captivated by him to live in rebellion to the God Who loves us. Thankfully, Jesus died the horrible death we all deserve, rose again and graciously removes our sin through repentance, so we can spend the time that we have left to allow His Life to be formed within us, preparing us for heaven.
May we release our hold on anything that keeps us from full surrender to You, and may we reflect Your love to those around us.
We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Today's Bible verses-

Job 23:10 (NIV) "But he knows the way that I take:
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."

Rom. 8:34 (KJV) Who is he that condemneth? It is
Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who
is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh
       intercession for us.

Heb. 9:28 (KJV) "So Christ was once offered to bear the
sins of may; and unto them that look for him shall
he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Today's quotes-

~ John Bevere- "We grow in the tough times, not the easy times. Hard places will always come in our journey with the Lord. We cannot escape them but need to face them, for they are part of the process of becoming perfect in Him. If you choose to run from them, you will seriously hinder your growth." (p. 166 of The BAIT of SATAN.)

~ Paul E. Miller- "If you know that you, like Jesus, can't do life on your own, then prayer makes complete sense." (p. 44, A PRAYING LIFE).

Today's question-

Are you aware that God has a written prophetic word over your life?

Some other questions may be: Are you fulfilling your life's purpose? Where are you going in life? Do you know why you exist? What you do for a living is not who you are!
When you finally realize your purpose for life, you'll find meaning that gives you hope. Jer. 29:11 assures us that God's plan is for us to have a hope and a future. He'll make it clear to us when we seriously ask Him to.
What we all need to realize is, we each have a distinct and definite assignment. We're not to blend in, but to be different and
to stand out! We each have a unique vision, and have been born to finish our assignment. We're supposed to be known for something!
2 Tim. 1:6 says that we're to stir up the gift within us. (From my notes taken in a Presbytery service last year, "Your Life Purpose" by Eric Butler).
