The Apostle Peter shares with us in 2 Peter 5:1-12, 16-18:
"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain (refer) unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (excellence):
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (Eph. 2:8-10; John 5:11)
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance, (self control), and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity (Christian love).
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren (idle) nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered (applied) unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
v16-18 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'.
And this voice which came from Heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount."
NKJV 2 Peter 1-12, 16-18
Father, we come to You, knowing that Your grace and peace is available to us all.
When we read Your Word, may we see that You've provided what is needed for us to come into Your Presence at any time, and anywhere.
Jesus has shown us the way to the Father, and we ask for Your grace and peace to be quickened in our lives, so we can be effective witnesses for Him.
Help us to be faithful to You, the Faithful One. We ask this in Christ's Name, Amen.
such as material blessings, physical health, the love of family
and unending promises that You have already fulfilled or that
are yet to be fulfilled. But You have also set visible and well-
defined boundaries that are for our own good.
Temptations to either toe the boundary line or cross over
into enemy territory will always be there, but You give us the
power to resist and discernment to recognize the alluring deceit
of the evil one.
Help our eyes and hearts to remain focused on Your
innumerable blessings and provisions as we stand against
the god of this age who seeks to destroy us. May we not
move the landmark of the faithful to join wit the ranks of
the faithless. In Your name, Jesus, we pray. Amen."

society and personal, proper relationships. There are profound
repercussions, when God's laws are violated, as there comes a generational
