Lisa Buffaloe: In 1947, pilot Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier. He reported the turbulence was terrible right before he broke through, but after the air was as smooth as glass.
I wonder how often in the midst of major turmoil and difficulties, if we aren’t actually on the brink of a breakthrough. Satan wants to stop us in any way possible. Yet if we will keep moving forward with God’s help, we can break through any barrier.
When times are tough, hold onto God, He will help you break through!
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, God will revive me; He will stretch forth His hand against the wrath of my enemies, and His right hand will save me. Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. For nothing is impossible for God." ~ Psalm 138:7; 1 Corinthians 15:57; Luke 1:37 (NASB)Posted: 24 Apr 2015 01:21 PM PDT
"Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for limiting
my thoughts, limiting my prayers, and limiting my
view of Your magnificence. Help me to keep my eyes
and heart on You and You alone. Oh Precious Father,
thank You for who You are and for all You do. I’m
strapping in tight with You for a fun, amazing, wild
ride, for You are the God of great and mighty and
unexpected things! I love You forever, Father!"

Today’s Bible verse: Job 14:15 "Thou wilt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands."
Today's praise verse: Ps. 28:6 "Praise the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy."
Today's praise verse: Ps. 28:6 "Praise the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy."
The morning light it welcomes me
To yet another day
A day with opportunities
To walk the narrow way
And even though I may not know
The things that lie before
I know that as I walk with God
I'll learn to trust Him more
For every moment that we face
The challenges in life
And turn to God for strength by grace
To overcome the strife
Are moments that we grow in Him
The more like His dear Son
Who though He came as God in man
Portrayed what makes us one
That constant prayer connection
Where God can live in me
Revealing all His grace through love
That others too might see
A constant revelation
Of heaven's light right here
By constant demonstrations
Of service far and near
For God did not in Jesus come
Through pomp above all men
But as a servant living love
To help the least of them
And in this way as day by day
He met the needs of them
He gave us an example here
To be the more like Him
For if it is our purpose here
To save the souls of men
Then it must be our purpose here
To help the least of them
To realize the love of God
By service to their needs
That therein they might hear the call
For which God's Spirit pleads
To open up their hearts to Him
That He might there abide
And all the sins they once had known
Will wash out with the tide
For He has promised He will cast
Them deep into the sea
That we might from their guilt and death
Forever be set free
And as we come to know His love
So deep within our hearts
We'll understand the reason why
He longs to have a part
In every moment day by day
He grants us from His hand
That every moment day by day
He'll live through us His plan
To save all those who will respond
To what He came to give
As by His life of sacrifice
He taught us how to live
So do not fear what you might face
That comes to you this day
But trust that as you walk with Him
He'll lead you in the way
That leads to life eternal
Fresh from the Father's hand
Fulfilled in you by what you do
To serve your fellow man

Today’s quotes: Michael Brooks - "God deals with sin as progressive. How so? In three stages. First, from the moment we open our hearts to Jesus, we are saved from the penalty for sin. Second, as we walk the Christian path, by the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are saved from the power of sin in our lives. Third, when Jesus returns, we will also be saved from the very presence of sin." 1 Cor. 1:18b "but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
Randy Kilgore - "We often find ourselves in unexpected places, places we never planned nor wanted to be. We may be drowning in debt, inhibited by physical barriers, or suffering under the weight of sin's consequences. Whether Christ finds us this day in a prison cell or a palace, whether He finds us broken and broke or absorbed by our own selfish desires, Scripture tells us to heed Paul's advice to forget what lies behind and to press forward toward Christ (Phil. 3:13-14). Some thoughts today: God begins a saving work in us when we open our hearts and lives to Jesus.
