20 More Benefits of Praying in Tongues

Jean Oathout: Glenn Arekion tells us, "We are delving into how powerful and beneficial tongues are for us today. The Word of God is loaded with revelations to bless your life and take you to the next level.

Everything that you are reading is for you to experience victory in Christ Jesus over the world, the flesh, and the devil. Let us further look in the benefits of praying in other tongues. (Google image, Study God's Word).

Thoughts given within [ ] are the author's words.

     21. Praying in tongues will deepen your relationship with God. (Job 22:21; Ps. 42:7; Ps. 107:23-24).
   22. Praying in tongues will give you access to revelation knowledge. (1 Cor.2:7-12; Rom. 8:7; 1 Cor. 2:14).
   23. Praying in tongues is part of the offensive of the armor of God. It is the lance that will shoot down the enemy. (Eph. 6:13-18).
   24. Prying in tongues helps us to do what Jesus said to do in the Garden of Gethsemane . . . pray for at least one hour. (Matt. 26:40; 1 Thess. 5:17). [While it is true there are many kinds of prayer, it is the ability to pray in tongues at any time, without running out of words or vocabulary, that permit you to stay in prayer for a long stretch of time].
   25. Praying in tongues helps synchronize us with the timing of God. (John 7:6; Acts 16:6-10; Acts 16:6-7). (See also Acts 16:6-7 TM).
   26. Praying in tongues gives a door of utterance, boldness in preaching and teaching. (Acts 2:16-19; See Acts 2:32-33,36; Matt. 26:74; Acts 4:31).
   27. Tongues sows to the spirit. (Gal. 6:8; See 1 Cor. 14:2)
   28. Tongues is pulling out treasure in earthen vessels. (2 Cor. 4:7) [The anointing and the glory are the treasures inside of us].
   29. Praying in tongues is not leaning upon your own understanding. (Prov. 3:5; 1 Cor. 14:14; Jer. 17:5-8).
   30. Praying in tongues is blowing the ram's horn. [Tongues is the blast that will bring down the walls that satan has erected in our lives to block us].
31.Praying in tongues is the releasing of angels. (See Acts 12:4-10,11; Acts 12:11; Acts 12:13-14,15; 1 Cor. 13:1; See Heb. 2).
   32. Praying in tongues is a brainstorming session with God. (1 Cor. 2:9-10 AMP). [It takes the help of the Holy Spirit to reach this depth of pre-arranged knowledge].
   33. Praying in tongues is entry into the creative highway. [What people can achieve in life beyond their ability, simply by knowing how to tap into the mind of the Spirit of God, is a feat that all believers must aspire to].
   34. Praying in tongues will overrule and overturn the death sentence and death assignment of the enemy against our life. (Acts 12:4-6; See also Acts 12:23).
   35. Tongues removes you from the limitations of the flesh and taps into God's abundant supply of the Spirit. (Phil. 1:19).
   36. Praying in tongues enables a closer walk with God. (Acts 2:38-39).
   37. Praying in tongues is speaking the hidden wisdom of God. (Prov. 4;7; Ecc. 10:10; 1 Cor. 2:7). [The wisdom of God will be revealed to those who pray more in tongues).
   38. Praying in tongues is the beginning of being led by the Spirit. (Rom. 8:14-16; John 16:13; Zech. 12:10). [Tongues help you to develop your prayer life].
   39. Praying in tongues opens the heavens and charges the atmosphere. (1 Cor. 14:9; Eph. 2:2; 2 Cor. 4:4; Deut. 11:16-17; 28:23-26; Eph. 6:12). [What do you think will happen if your entire church congregation prayed in tongues?].

~ Christianity Today: Dear Church, Don’t Dumb Down Christianity.
"Few would argue that we live in a day and age where thinking is celebrated over feeling. Arguments over political or social issues no longer center on truth or fact, but instead revolve around personal identity and subsequent emotional response.
We’ve seen this trend in society, and sadly, it has made its way into the Church."

Praying for others helps
Father, thank You that there is a more powerful and beneficial way of praying given that many have not heard about.
As we learn from Your Word Glenn Arekion shares of  the revelations to bless our lives, and which are to take us to the next level of effective interceding, we ask that we be open to Your Spirit's reinforcing the truths he's shared.
Our desire is to develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with You, and to have a boldness in sharing the truths of the Gospel with others.
We see that in order to have creativeness in our work and ministry, we really need the Holy Spirit's help. Our praying in tongues will help to unlock the mysteries facing us each day, as to what is the best plan to follow, and how we're to respond to temptations and trials.
When we're praying in tongues, our spirits are communing with You in a less hampered way. Our brains are quiet, as we speak to You with the help of Your Spirit, to agree with the Lord Jesus' intercession for us and our situations.
We are to lean on Your understanding, not our own.
In Jesus' name we pray for Your help in overcoming obstacles that hamper our receiving and moving in the gift of Your Spirit, and receiving our own heavenly language we call "tongues," for fuller effectiveness and deeper understanding of the kingdom's power. Amen.

Matt. 28:19-20 (NIV) “ Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.”

1 Cor. 14:15 (AMP) "Then what am I to do? I will pray
with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me],
but I will also pray [intelligently] with my mind and
understanding; I will also sing with my spirit [by the
Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will sing
[intelligently] with my mind and understanding also."

1 Cor. 2:5 (AMP) "So that your faith might not rest in
in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the
       power of God."

the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word."
