Thoughts for Life: LOVE IS KIND

Kindness is kind of important. Our attitude as parents toward other people and situations shows whether we think kindness is essential. Our children will notice it. (photo courtesy of pixabay.com.)

Siblings often fight over something and then tend to repay evil with evil instead of showing kindness. Parents and grandparents must teach them to be kind to one another. Kindness starts in our homes, then moves to our hearts. Once there, we can show it to others.

Wise King Solomon said to bind mercy, truth, and kindness around our necks and write them on our hearts. Kindness should be inside us and then out on display. When we do this, our children will learn what it means to be kind. My mom always said, “Kindness costs nothing.”

Ask God to help you model kindness to your children and grandchildren so that they can learn how to be kind.

Let's pray-

Father, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for Your kindness and love for us. As kindness is important, our attitude as parents and other people should reflect whether we think kindness is essential. Our children are taking notice.

Unfortunately, siblings fight over something and then plan to repay evil with evil instead of showing kindness. As parents and grandparents, we must teach them to be kind to each other. The fact is, kindness starts in the home, then moves into hearts so it can be shown to others.

The Bible tells us that King Solomon said that we should bind mercy, truth and kindness around our necks, writing them on our hearts. Kindness should be inside us, then displayed by our behavior. As we do this, children will learn what it means to be kind. It truly costs us nothing except efforts to be kind.

We thank You for the best example through Jesus our Savior, as He laid down His life for us, obeying Your command for the provision of salvaiton for mankind. We pray in His name. Amen."

Some encouraging words-

When our world is troubled, we can find rest in the Savior. He is actively working in the world around us to bring good. We know that the LORD Himself, is the Rock eternal, and we can trust Him forever. Remember, that what the evil one plans for destruction, God plans to use for His glory through His Church!
