Our Children Need Instruction

Tammie Johnson shares her thoughts with us today:

"Today the world and our children question everything.

It’s because they are untaught by the society before them. Make Sense?

We are supposed to date before marriage. And yes, we are supposed to get married.

Some of you by now may be saying 'you’re crazy', but I'm not. Keep reading...

The Bible says in many different areas:

If you have pre-marital sex, you are defiled, (dirty). And it is a sin, an offense against God.

In the Bible, (God's Word), it says people were put to death for having pre-marital sex, and cheating with another on their spouse.

Yes, it is very serious. Not to mention it spreads diseases and causes unwanted pregnancies.

And why marriage?: Proverbs 18:22 MSG (The Message Bible) "Find a good spouse, you find a good life - and even more: the favor of God! [Also read Prov. 19:14; 31:10]

Hebrews 13:4 MSG "Honor marriage, and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband. God draws a firm line against causal and illicit sex."

Avoiding problems in marriage: 1 Peter 3:1-7 MSG vv 1-3 "The same goes for you wives: Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will be captivated by your life of holy beauty.

What matters is not your outer appearance - the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes - but your inner disposition.

vv 4-6 Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as "my dear husband."

You'll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated."

v 7 The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God's grace, you're equals. Treat your wives, the, as equals so your prayers don't run aground."

Divorce would not happen if all mankind would be educated in God's way for marriage.

But the world is attempting to push God out of our human education and system.

How can marriages last? Or how can anything be good or work in a marriage? It can't without God.

I went through 3 divorces of my own, before I was educated in God's way. God is good. He loves us. He welcomes us with open arms.

For more information and education go to your local Bible-teaching church where God's Spirit will welcome you. He can help you in any area of your life."

Let’s pray: Father, let me see what I can do to correct this. Enlighten me and my friends as to the importance of training our children about this most important subject. Every time we have an opportunity to defend Your idea of a good marriage, help us be faithful to what Your Word tells us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today's prayer for your pastor:  "Pray that your pastor will seek God for personal revival, and revival in your church and community."  2 Chron. 7:14; Ps. 69:32

Today’s Bible verse: Jer. 6:27 "I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way."

Our thought today: False believers and teachers created an alternative to what Jesus taught.

Another thought: So you desire peace? Proclaim the Word of faith over your situations, and allow the Lord to handle them, and trust His judgment, plans, and timing. He is the Lord of Peace.
