Lisa Buffaloe: I found myself in the throes of worrying, and as the worries grew, I decided perhaps I needed to take inventory...
Will my worrying actually help anything or anyone?
Does worrying about what someone else thinks of me actually change how they think of me, or how they think?
Does worrying about what someone else has done actually change what they’ve done?
Does worrying show my faith in God?
Does my worrying remember that nothing is impossible for God?
Does worrying help my mind, body, heart, and soul?
Does my worrying show that I love God with all my heart, mind, body, and soul?
Is worrying worth my time?
Is worrying worth my health?
Is the act of worrying positive in any way?
The answer to all the questions is…
NO!!!!!
So how can I stop the worry process? I need to take my thoughts captive and replace the worries with God’s truth and love.
Now I’ll change my questions to statements...
My faith in God’s truth and love will actually help anything and/or anyone.
My faith in God’s truth and love will help me focus beyond what someone else thinks of me and may actually change how they think of me and others.
My faith in God’s truth and love will help me stop worrying about what someone else has done.

“We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 (MSG) lisabuffaloe.com Lisa Buffaloe's BlogPosted: 28 Aug 2015 Walking with God in the Season of Motherhood

I Give and I Win
I give, Lord, You win.
And in the process, I win too
I surrender to You my will, my resources and everything I am and have
You give it all back with so much more
I am Your vessel
I am Your child
I am Yours
Do as You will
Make of me what you want
Direct me
Change me, from a child of the world to a child of God, Your child
I give all that I am to You
And I feel Your presence in me
I am so blessed
I give everything that I am to You and I win eternity
Blessed be Your holy name
By Debbie McEwen @2015 I ask for forgiveness for any and all attitudes, thoughts and actions that are displeasing to You. Grant me the insight to recognize my inability to handle every situation in my own strength and wisdom. I ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Today’s Bible verses: Prov. 9:11 "For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased."
Prov. 9:5 "Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled."
Today’s quote: David Roper - "Sin is an atrocity. We have to realize how monstrous and scandalous it is and how desperately we need God's forgiveness. We cannot appreciate the magnitude of His acceptance until we comprehend the measure of our sins. We understand and hunger for his grace only at the point of deep and depressing failure." (Taken from pp. 80, 81 of Psalm 23 The song of a Passionate Heart, by Roper).
Some thoughts today: Don't run out of love for God! We're to build up our most holy faith, as Jude tells us in verse 20 of his epistle for us in the Bible. We are to maintain our faith!
~ Make it Home by the Blood of Jesus! Allow sanctification to take place in your walk with Him, so a closeness can be formed between you. ~ As you've no doubt found out, there's no peace when there's sin in your life. Confess it, repent and enjoy the closeness with the Lord that's yours to have.
