#109 God's Plan of Attack and Timing

C. Peter Wagner: "A great danger, which is all too common, is to go into spiritual warfare in the flesh.

It is essential to hear from God what He wants to do, how He wants us to do it, and when it should be done.

This comes through serious prayer. This is where the prophetic dimension of the ministry of intercession is extremely important.

Some of the possible consequences of missing God's plan of attack and timing are explained in the next chapter. (Of Warfare Prayer)

In summary, do not attempt strategic-level spiritual warfare without following these six rules. (Given in my last posts from Wagner's book:  Rule #1: The Area;  Rule #2: The Pastors;  Rule #3: The Body of Christ;  Rule #4: The Spiritual Preparation;  Rule #5: The Research;  Rule #6: The Intercessors.

Be informed. Find out what many people are saying. I suggest you secure and study two other excellent lists of rules: Cindy Jacob's list in Processing the Gates of the Enemy pp.242-245) (Offered for $.01 + $3.99 postage).

And John Dawson's list in Taking Our Cities for God (pp. 163-219). Let's be wise and strong in the power of God's might."

#109 God's Plan for Attack and Timing

Father, I want to please You with my living. I ask for Your grace to make me able to withstand temptations and troubles that come my way.
May I have pre-determined plans for addressing whatever I confront. Keep my faith strong in Jesus, and make me a good example of His follower.
Help me be faithful in my prayer time, so Your Spirit can impress me with His thoughts of direction and encouragements.
I ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today’s Bible verse: 1 Chron. 22:19 a "Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God."

Pray for your pastor: "Pray that your pastor will be humble and authentic in his faith, not given to pride or hypocrisy. Pray that he will have pure motives and give God glory for every gain and victory." (Micah 6:8; Gal. 6:14; John 7:17-18; 1 Cor. 10-13www.lifeaction.org

Please check out Samples of Jean's Crafts to see the framed Real Flower arrangements that The Tauny Center in Canton. They are presently show-casing local artists' work. This is a special time of the year when artists are invited to bring their larger works in. I'm honored to have been judged and accepted! Two have already been sold. I found the others just inside the door to the left in a display by themselves on the 2nd of Nov.

Today’s quotes: Charlie Sweet - "Don’t let the storms of life, people or situations, stop you from going through your storm - don’t faint - but stand firm in those days of adversity. Let the Holy Spirit be your Partner in life. Why? He sees what you can’t see. He knows what we do not know. God will give you the wisdom and insight how to navigate the storms (troubles) in life, because He loves us - He is our rock and our salvation - and we will NOT be shaken!"

Dick Iverson“When God brings you to nothing it is not to destroy you, BUT to reroute your life."

Some thoughts today: Don't walk away from your faith because of anything that comes against it. Follow Jesus simply because He is the Source of Life! That changes everything! Jesus did not die to make bad men good. He died to make dead men live! We need Him as Savior!

~ Who we love is the source of everything to us. Do you want to know Truth? (see 1 John 1:14; John 14:6). Will you yield to Christ's Lordship?

~ When others control us, that can lead to trouble. If others fail, don't blame it on Jesus! If your faith rests on your feelings and circumstances, your faith is shallow and won't do you any good. Base it on Jesus Christ!

C. Peter Wagner tells us in his book,
PRAYER SHIELD, "An office in a church goes beyond simply a gift. My understanding of  'office' is a public recognition by the Body of Christ that a certain member has a particular spiritual gift and is released..."
