Dr. Wesley L. Duewel: There are mountains of difficulty for which much prayer has been made. It may be that a command of faith from the throne is what is needed.
The Holy Spirit can give guidance when to take this step. Satanic opposition often has to be commanded to stop. Jesus commanded Satan to get behind Him (Matt. 16:23).

Frequently in prevailing prayer we may need to take the courage of our throne position and rebuke Satan to his face.
R. Arthur Mathews wrote,
"Many mountains obstruct the progress of God's work
in the world today. They are there by default and the
blame is on us. As long as the mountains persist we
will never be able to see what God has for us on the
other side....Our calling and function is not to replace
God, but to release Him. Nor do we have to overcome
any reluctance on His part. It has been rightly said,
'Without God man cannot; without man God will not.' "
"It is very apparent from the sequence of this teaching (Matt. 11:20-23)," writes Hagel after years of missionary experience, "that 'the command of faith' is given the same place that ordinary prayer has in the life of the believer." (Huegel, Enthroned Christian, 36.)
When you are on the throne, you do not need to wait to win the victory. Christ has already won the victory, and Satan is already defeated. From that position of power and authority, command Satan to leave. By virtue of Christ's victory, bind Satan, your enemy, by using the power of Jesus' name.
"Have faith in God" (Mark 11:22) is literally "have the faith of God." There is a sense in which God-given faith is made available to us by God, but we must act on it or command because of it.
True faith is primarily a matter of the will. It becomes creative by the Spirit's power. You take your stand with God, look down on the problem from the perspective of God's throne, and dare to speak on behalf of God from the throne, where you sit enthroned with Christ.

Let's pray-
"Father, help me to stop trying so hard to do. Because being in Your presence is where I find the answers to every situation and every problem. Help my mind to stay focused on being with You and my heart to be set on You. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight. Thank You Father, that I can always be with You!"
From Lisa Buffaloe's Living Joyfully Free Devotional, Volume 2
Rob Price- "Instead of trying to fix your friends, family, or loved ones with positive statements or false claims of hope, encourage them by reminding them about God’s love and how He will never leave or forsake them. Be the example of God’s love and encouragement by walking hand in hand with others through their pain. You can become a walking encourager by showing others God’s unwavering love and commitment to them by your actions."

Today's Bible verses-
(Ps. 34:19 KJV) "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all."
(Ps. 147:3 KJV) "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
(Is. 35:3 KJV) Strengthen the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees."
Mournful to Hopeful Max Lucado tells us, "In May of 2008, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth lost their five-year-old daughter in an automobile accident..."
Some thoughts-
Doesn't it seem likely that if Trump's VP, praying Pence, would get in the White House, Satan would have a fit? No doubt he's making everyone look at Mr. Trump's past, and to condemn him, so as to try to make Christians not look past him to a godly man's attempt to obey God's leading.
Surely, Pence's being in Washington would cause some serious good changes, don't you think? Maybe it's time to pray for God to move on His children to pray and vote for someone who can become a good influence in Washington! Leave Mr. Trump to God to change...as well as to bring about some changes that can help make America great again.
